Mariano Duncan is the best
The Mets are hiring Mariano Duncan to their MLB coaching staff, per @Joelsherman1
Duncan, a 12-year MLB veteran, has been serving the role of bench coach for the Binghamton Rumble Ponies in the Mets' organization
He is expected to "help in multiple areas with the position player group"
It’s almost offseason time
I will be joined on a new episode of The Mets Pod for @SNYtv by @WillSammon breaking down everything Mets heading into what is likely to be a crazy November

"I definitely think that he feels some urgency"
On The Mets Pod, @PSLToFlushing and @chelsea_janes discuss what role Steve Cohen can play in offseason moves for the Mets
I love Adrian Morejon
But if he gets a QO, I’m out
"Given Morejon's age and dominance, he's likely in line for a pretty big deal in terms of both average annual value and years."
Pros and Cons: Should the Mets sign Adrian Morejon? (via @DannyAbriano) sny.tv/articles/pros-cons-me…

@chelsea_janes joined to talk Skubal and the Mets offseason that is going to kick off in 2 weeks or less (2 weeks and two from today if the WS goes 7 games)
Where does the Mets' pursuit of Tarik Skubal stand as the offseason approaches?
@chelsea_janes joins @PSLtoFlushing on a new episode of The Mets Pod 🍎
The best team in the AL vs the best team in the NL in the World Series
Tampa Bay vs Milwaukee
Can’t wait for this series
We are on the precipice of the World Series, which means a likely crazy month of offseason is right around the corner
I will be joined by @chelsea_janes to preview on a new episode of The Mets Pod for @SNYtv
Got questions? Drop ‘em here and we will get to a couple on the show
Japanese infielder Teruaki Sato to be posted in time to potentially sign prior to the lockout
Sato, who won the NPB triple crown in 2026 makes sense to me as a power hitting 1B option for the Mets
I’d say neither side should be particularly interested in a reunion
Would you consider a Freddy Peralta reunion with the Mets?
On Baseball Night in New York, @KeithRaad says no

Are the Mets prepared to go all-in on Tarik Skubal?
@ConnorJRogers and @PSLToFlushing discuss on the latest episode of The Mets Pod
Scott Boras
There’s your reason. He will keep going until there’s just one team left standing, and often he will even squeeze a little more out of that one remaining team
It’s on the Mets to be the top bidder, that’s where Boras clients almost exclusively go
Me too, Zac
Now’s the time. Look ahead to the next couple free agent classes, there isn’t a guy like this. Leads all SP in WAR since 2022 and 4th in SP ERA
Mets need an alpha, Skubal is that alpha
If not now, when?
"It would be awesome"
