90 years ago today, Oswald Mosley and his Blackshirts attempted to march through and intimidate a predominantly Jewish area of the East End. Men, women and children, alongside local residents, trade unionists and anti-fascist protesters, came together to defend the community in what became known as the Battle of Cable Street. They taught us an important lesson: communities can resist fascism by joining together. Hate and antisemitism had no place in London then, and it has no place here now.

Good piece by @NickCohen4 on those who are obsessed with who is and who is not ethnically English. Either they are engaged in a pointless bit of labelling, or they have a racist agenda. They should tell us which: open.substack.com/pub/nickco…

not to get political, but America is real pretty and has a lot of nice folks making cool things, and i think if we had a president who wasn’t actively trying to murder us, we could have a pretty good time

Watching Burnham’s speech on social care is a masterclass in speaking from the heart . He really does mean what he says and I think thst sincerity is what is registering with people . No wonder Labour is finally turning things around

There are further examples of the language he uses. Adrian White was elected after campaigning with a Britain First Lieutenant: teapawt.net/reformexposed/status/2… He supports Tommy Robinson: hopenothate.org.uk/2026/07/0… He promotes the far-right in Europe: teapawt.net/reformexposed/status/2… Yet Reform UK stand by and endorse him by their inaction.

Adrian himself though promotes the far-right, whether it be AfD in Germany or Le Pen in France. Or British Nationalists.

Just returning to these @andyburnham Ministerial appointments briefly, because there’s a lot of talk about it, and it’s important we get it right. (1/17)

ILGA-Europe is right to say that Berlin Pride attack must not be exploited to fuel hatred of Muslims, immigrants & refugees But LGBT+ groups are wrong to not call out Islamist extremists who seek to kill LGBTs, 'immoral' women, Jews & non-believers thepinknews.com/2026/07/28/b…

The Islamist attack on Berlin's Pride celebrations last weekend is a brutal reminder that religious homophobia is still rampant. Read how the British state continues to subsidise organisations that promote it. 👇 secularism.org.uk/opinion/20…
