Coming at you with a feel good story this afternoon
Despite several attempts by the owner this little 6 week old kitten needed our assistance this afternoon after squeezing behind the kitchen cupboards
Kitten does not yet have a name but Houdini could be considered 🐈⬛🐾
This morning we are saddened to hear of the passing of two firefighters from Oxford FRS.
Our condolences to all those involved ♥️
Well if this doesn’t pull on your heart strings we don’t know what will 🥹
Yesterday we had a visit from Padiham Rainbows.
At the end of their visit the Rainbows made their promise & got their badges
Well done girls 🌈
🚙 Road safety & Recruitment Event 🚙
In association with Road Safety Partnership & @LancashireFRS
📍Padiham Fire Station, BB12 8EA
📆 Sunday 1st June
🕥11.00 - 14.00
Yesterday we responded to a fire in this nature reserve created by youths who fled the scene on our arrival.
As you can see, temperatures of the embers were in excess of 150 degrees.
The fire was within 100m of our wildfire warning poster
Today we visited @readstjohns to meet reception class.
A credit to their school& families with some wonderful manners demonstrated by all children
Thank you for having us ♥️🚒
SANTA HAS BEEN!! 🎅🏽
Wishing all our colleagues & community a very Merry Christmas 🎄
To all those on station or On Call today, thank you, safe shift & have a lovely day
From all at Padiham 🎁🎄🎅🏽
The River Calder is in full force this evening & one of our Crew Managers has just asked 2 youths to step away from the waters edge
Parents & carers please talk to your children about the dangers of water.
These lovely, polite boys would be in serious trouble if they fell in
On 28th September CM Herdman & FF Garvin from Padiham will be joined by staff around the county to undertake a “bit of a challenge”
The team will be Setting travelling around 9 fire stations in our Pennine district…
Raising much needed funds for @firefighters999 and @LDNairamb who saved the life of FF Garvins brother in 2020 as seen here

We would like to welcome our 2 new recruits who passed out from our service training centre on Friday.
Well done to you both, see you tomorrow with cream cakes of course 😉🧁
Pleasure to welcome our newest #OnCall recruits! Our first of its kind - 365 course! Training from a remote hub #365/24 The start of an exciting journey with @LancashireFRS supported by a great training team and On Call Support Officers!
Congratulations 🎊 #MakingADifference 🚒
After our recent visit to @SimonstoneStP the wonderful children (and maybe with some teachers help) have created this wonderful card full of personal thank you letters.
We can’t wait to get the maltesers open
Thank you boys & girls 😁
This is what being a community fire station is about 🥰
Reception had the most exciting afternoon yesterday when they were visited by real life superheroes! We learned all about fire safety, life saving equipment, the features of a fire engine and, of course, how to use the hose! Thank you so much @Padiham_Fire 🔥👩🚒

🚒 Incident 🚒 with colleagues from @Hyndburn_Fire
Hydrants aren’t always close to fires & on our search for water we came across these beauties whilst 2 colleagues put up a strong battle against hayfever.
Water sourced, friends made, fire extinguished.
Lovely ☺️🤧
