🚨🇵🇰 PAKISTAN EXPOSED | SAIFULLAH KASURI THREATENS ISRAEL BUT WHO HOLDS THE KEYS TO PAKISTAN’S OWN POWER? BIG THREATS. FOREIGN BAILOUTS. STRATEGIC DEPENDENCE. LeT deputy emir Saifullah Kasuri reportedly claims that the Pakistan Army will completely destroy Israel. A spectacular threat from a terror-linked figure but it raises an obvious question: how does a country struggling with debt, external financing and economic vulnerability plan to dictate the fate of another state? ▪︎▪︎▪︎》FOLLOW THE MONEY, NOT THE MILITARY RHETORIC. 1️⃣ THE IMF LIFELINE Pakistan secured a $7 billion IMF Extended Fund Facility in September 2024, alongside a separate $1.1 billion disbursement under the Resilience and Sustainability Facility in May 2025. These programmes came with economic reform commitments and continued scrutiny of Pakistan’s finances. A country repeatedly turning to international lenders cannot pretend that economic dependence has no strategic consequences. 2️⃣ WASHINGTON STILL MATTERS Pakistan’s military and civilian leadership maintain significant engagement with Washington. US-Pakistan relations involve security cooperation, diplomacy, trade and financial stability. But let’s separate evidence from exaggeration: there is no credible public evidence that CENTCOM literally controls Pakistan’s GHQ or that Washington directly appoints Pakistan’s army chief or prime minister. Influence is real; claims of direct command require proof. 3️⃣ THE ISRAEL CONTRADICTION Pakistan has no formal diplomatic relations with Israel and does not officially recognise it. Yet sweeping threats against Israel do not automatically translate into military capability, economic resilience or strategic leverage. The real question is whether Kasuri’s rhetoric represents a viable military strategy or simply another headline designed to project power. 4️⃣ DEBT IS NOT A SUPERPOWER Pakistan’s reliance on IMF programmes and external financing exposes the limits of its economic room for manoeuvre. Debt servicing, foreign-exchange pressures and the need to secure international funding are far more concrete tests of national strength than inflammatory speeches. Threatening Israel makes for dramatic propaganda. But military credibility is measured by capabilities, economic resilience and strategic independence not by the volume of a terror-linked figure’s declarations. Pakistan’s treatment of religious minorities demands serious scrutiny not because of propaganda, but because human-rights organisations, international observers and even Pakistan’s own Human Rights Commission have raised repeated concerns about religious discrimination, mob violence, forced conversions and failures of justice. ▪︎ THE DATA PAKISTAN CANNOT SIMPLY WAVE AWAY: 🔴 421 REPORTED CASES 2021 TO 2024 According to Pakistan’s Centre for Social Justice, cited in a UK government country report, at least 421 cases involving the abduction and forced conversion of minority girls and women were documented between January 2021 and December 2024. ▪️ 282 Hindu girls and women ▪️ 137 Christian girls and women ▪️ 2 Sikh girls and women These are reported cases not a complete national count. The true scale may be higher because intimidation and fear discourage families from reporting crimes. These figures document reported cases, not the total number of victims across Pakistan. Source: Christian Solidarity Worldwide, September 2026. 🔴 THE UNITED NATIONS HAS RAISED THE ALARM On 22 April 2026, UN human-rights experts expressed concern about the continued pattern of forced religious conversion through marriage affecting minority women and girls in Pakistan. Their findings indicated that in 2025 approximately 75% of affected women and girls were Hindu and 25% Christian, with nearly 80% of reported incidents occurring in Sindh. The experts warned that coercion, child marriage and impunity threaten the fundamental rights of vulnerable girls. A child cannot give meaningful consent to a marriage imposed through abduction, coercion or abuse. Religion cannot be used to legitimise a crime. 🔴 PLACES OF WORSHIP: WHERE IS THE GUARANTEE OF SAFETY? Pakistan’s Human Rights Commission, in its February 2025 reporting on religious freedom, highlighted mob attacks against minority homes and places of worship, desecration of Ahmadiyya graves and the vulnerability of Hindu and Christian women and girls to forced conversion. The Jaranwala and Sargodha attacks against Christian communities also exposed the danger of blasphemy allegations being amplified into mob violence. When a rumour can endanger an entire community, when a place of worship can become a target, and when families fear retaliation for demanding justice, the promise of equal citizenship rings hollow. 🔴 BLASPHEMY LAWS AND MOB VIOLENCE: ANOTHER ACCOUNTABILITY FAILURE The Human Rights Commission of Pakistan reported that more than 750 people were incarcerated on blasphemy charges as of October 2024. In its September 2025 country update, the US Commission on International Religious Freedom highlighted attacks against Ahmadis, Hindus and Christians, alongside the misuse of blasphemy laws and inadequate responses to associated mob violence. These concerns are not confined to one religious community. They expose wider questions about freedom of belief, protection from violence and equality before the law. 🔴 THE MOST DISTURBING QUESTION: WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE CRIME? Human-rights reporting has repeatedly highlighted allegations that police complaints are dismissed, investigations are inadequate, victims’ ages are disputed and families face intimidation. A reported conversion certificate cannot, by itself, prove that a girl was free from coercion. A marriage document cannot erase an alleged abduction. And invoking religion cannot replace a proper investigation into sexual violence or child abuse. If the law protects everyone equally, why must minority families repeatedly fight to have their daughters found, their complaints investigated and their rights recognised? ▪︎》THE HYPOCRISY CHECK Pakistan’s political establishment cannot demand international sympathy over human rights while ignoring credible concerns about the treatment of vulnerable citizens at home. If religious freedom is a universal principle, it must apply to Hindus, Christians, Sikhs, Ahmadis and every other community—not only when it is politically convenient. If minority protection is guaranteed, prosecute those responsible for attacks on places of worship. If forced conversion is unacceptable, protect victims from coercion and intimidation.
