“My only son… I was standing right next to him. I wish that bullet had hit me instead of him.” Imagine a father standing beside his son at a social gathering, watching helplessly as a bullet takes his 23-year-old son’s life. Through his tears, he says: “I raised him for 23 years, hoping to see him become a doctor, only to lose him in a single moment.” Dr. Fadi Halsa, just 23, had spent years studying dentistry, dreaming of opening his own clinic and making his family proud. He never got the chance. His dreams, his future, and all the plans he had worked so hard for were cut short in an instant. A family is left grieving, a father is left wishing he could have taken his son’s place, and a mother is left mourning a son she never imagined she would lose so soon. May Fadi rest in peace. My heart goes out to his parents and everyone who loved him. No family should have to endure this kind of loss. 💔

Catastrophic!!!
BREAKING: Taybeh, the last entirely Palestinian Christian village in the West Bank, is under a complete blockade by Israeli forces: no one allowed in or out. I spoke with a resident of Taybeh who described the impact of the movement restrictions: "You can’t plan your day. Checkpoints close suddenly and you get stuck and delayed and your day gets messed up. It’s frustrating, it wastes you time, you get emotionally and physically drained. What bothers me the most is you’re no longer in control of your life becasue you’re no longer in control of your time, your route or your plans. You start working out your day according to the closures, change appointments, cancel and postpone things you have to get done. They control your movement, so they control you."

A candle from the heart of the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem, entrusting the souls of the martyrs of St. George Church in al-Karak into the hands of the Lord. May their souls rest in eternal peace, and their memory live forever🕯️

Sadly, we have been informed that the number of martyrs from the terrorist attack on St George’s Church in Jordan has risen from 7 to 9. We pray for our brothers who have borne witness to Christ through their martyrdom, as well as for the swift recovery of the injured.

I am absolutely disgusted by those who say letting Christians live in the Middle East is a form of “tolerance”. You tolerate undesirable things. Christians ARE the Middle East. They are Jordan, Palestine, Egypt, Syria, Iraq and Lebanon and everywhere else. Christians are us.

🇵🇸🇱🇧🇦🇹✝️ The Lebanese singer Fairouz فيروز on the Rooftop of the Austrian Hospice in Jerusalem 1. Fairuz and her troupe performed several concerts in Palestine during the 1960s, featuring 78 dancers, actors, and singers under the direction of Sabri Sharif. 2. Fairuz returned to Palestine in 1964 to sing at the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem during Pope Paul VI’s visit. 3. The Austrian Hospice in Jerusalem’s Old City was built in 1863 as a guesthouse for Austrian pilgrims. During World War II, it was converted into an internment camp. 4. After 1948, the guesthouse was transformed into a hospital administered by the Jordanian government. It remained the only hospital in the Old City until 198year incomplete in the original text.

Three Israeli Druze soldiers were assaulted in a Tel Aviv nightclub by Jewish Israelis because they were speaking Arabic. This occurred in what is considered the most liberal and open-minded city in Israel. Cc: Lebanese who cannot wait to "party in Israel."
