Our hearts are broken with the loss of Tim Wakefield. Wake embodied true goodness; a devoted husband, father, and teammate, beloved broadcaster, and the ultimate community leader. He gave so much to the game and all of Red Sox Nation. Our deepest love and thoughts are with Stacy, Trevor, Brianna, and the Wakefield family.

Couple of Tim Wakefield stories. 1. In 2017, I was hosting a weekend show on WEEI and we asked for callers' most beloved Boston athlete -- not the best, but the guy they most respected. Wake won in a surprising landslide. My phone buzzed. "Thx," he wrote. "That's really nice."

Hey @HomeDepot & @BestBuy I have tried to purchase a washer & dryer THREE times. Each time your sales people say there isn’t an issue with side vents. Then the delivery people arrive and say they don’t do side vents. WTF? 1/ – at Alexandria, VA
