Last week, Mason McKenzie threw for a career-high 295 yards against Pitt.
This week, Darian Mensah went for nearly 400 against the Panthers.
What's going on with Pitt's defense? 247sports.com/college/pittsb…
Also, there's a very vocal and weird segment of the Miami fanbase who seems to think Pitt gave the Hurricanes bulletin board material this past week.
Did that happen and I missed it? I was at all of the interviews and don't remember anything like that.
Good morning from Fort Lauderdale. A quick thought (aside from all the obvious things we'll be talking about today and this week):
Yesterday was a reminder of how much college teams in pro towns - even those ranked No. 1 in the nation - struggle with fan support.

We now have two Power 4 head coach openings.
We’re aiming for 6:15 or so for the post-game show. Not sure there’s a lot to say, but there are some things for sure.

Final: Miami 52, Pitt 23
The Panthers added a late touchdown, but this was over from the first quarter. Miami put up 506 yards of offense, powered by Darian Mensah (374 yds, 4 TD) and Malachi Toney (16/194/3).
Pitt drops to 5-3 overall and 2-3 in the ACC.
Jimmy Scott tackles the Miami running back in the end zone, and Pitt gets two points.
Miami 52, Pitt 16 - 7:41, 4th quarter
Seemed like Malik Knight got a foot down and had the ball, but the refs upheld the call of incomplete on the field.
It doesn't matter, obviously, in a 38-point blowout. But they should probably get the call right.
Another Miami drive, another Malachi Toney touchdown. This drive started at the Pitt 46, moved to the 31 with a roughing penalty on Zach Crothers, got another 20 yards on a long run and then Darian Mensah hit Toney for a 10-yard score.
Miami 52, Pitt 14 - 12:58, 4th quarter
Pitt linebacker Cam Lindsey just went down with a knee injury, and he's being helped off the field to the locker room.
The third quarter has ended and Pitt trails Miami 45-14. the Hurricanes are out-gaining the Panthers 451-264, although Holden Geriner had a solid third quarter, throwing for 100 yards on 7/10 passing.
15 minutes left.
Miami answers Pitt's touchdown with another TD of its own. This time, the Hurricanes drove 75 yards, got 15 yards from a late hit penalty on Jaeden Moore and capped it with a run by Javian Mallory.
Miami 45, Pitt 14 - 4:33, 3rd quarter
Pitt answers Miami's touchdown with a score of its own, as Holden Geriner goes 4/4 for 77 yards and a touchdown - the score coming on a 36-yard pass to Blue Hicks.
Miami 38, Pitt 14 - 10:18, 3rd quarter
I don't really know what analysis there is for a game like this. Malachi Toney is the best player on the field - and maybe the best player in the country - and you have to play perfect to beat a guy like him. Pitt has decidedly not played perfect.
Holden Geriner throws a deep one to Blue Hicks on the final play of the first half. It gets 53 yards. Hicks is down at the 1.
Miami 31, Pitt 7 - Halftime
Miami turns Holden Geriner's fumble into another touchdown, as the Hurricanes go 33 yards on five plays for the No. 1 team in the country's fourth touchdown of the game.
Miami 31, Pitt 7 - 0:39, 2nd quarter
