I think that many people don’t realize how little paraprofessionals are paid so I made a little chart to show metro Atlanta salaries. These are for a first year para WITH a bachelors degree. Just FYI.

I’m a day late but happy paraprofessional appreciation day to all the amazing paras out there! Y’all are amazing and appreciated ❤️❤️

Hi everyone! Checking in to say hello and also to show off my very first display I created for the library. Happy birthday Flannery O’Connor! Things are going great at the new job but I sure do miss everyone at school! ❤️🐼

Well, it’s a wrap! ✌️After ten years in education, today was my last day in the classroom. I cannot begin to thank all of the amazing people I’ve met while on this journey and I’m so sad to leave my Parkside family, but I’m very excited to begin my new job at the public library.

✨ Play is the universal language of childhood. But for some kids, playgrounds aren’t accessible. Let’s change that together. Your support brings us closer to building a playground where ALL kids can play side by side. Donate today: givebutter.com/parksideplayf… #ParksidePlayForAll

So proud of this lady right here! Support person of the year! 💙💙💙

Happy substitute teacher appreciation day to all of the hardworking subs out there! I’m so grateful for the subs in my life who have become beloved friends. ❤️

My students are really enjoying learning about “tootie shapes” (“2D” shapes) 😩😂😩😂

Watching a show inside a giant inflatable planetarium was an awesome way to spend my birthday at school! I’ve never seen my kids so enthralled with anything before 😂

Fall break is an excellent time for a supermoon ☺️☺️☺️

It’s not every day that you have a Super Bowl winner reading his book to your class! Thank you Mr. Mitchell! @APSParkside @aps_OEL

Appalachia is drowning, Florida is destroyed, and Atlanta is covered in a chlorine haze and we aren’t allowed to go outside. And we’re supposed to act like everything is okay? Life is scary and hard and unfair.

I have said this a million times now but I’m so grateful for our amazing parents and PTA. This was such a thoughtful surprise. ❤️❤️❤️

Twinning with Dr. Salter on this lovely Thursday morning! @APSParkside

I’m at a loss for words about today’s school shooting. My favorite teacher from high school is a principal there and I’ve been waiting all afternoon to hear if he’s okay. Praying for everyone involved and praying that someday schools can be a safe place. Something has to change.

THATS MY GIRL!!!! ❤️❤️
