Lakers coach JJ Redick said that Jarred Vanderbilt getting a look at backup center is “certainly” an option. Redick said Vando is better suited to being a wing/perimeter defender, but also said that there’s going to naturally be, by necessity, moments where he’d play the five.

Last night the Sexton/Grimes money spent appears to be redundant. TONIGHT, however, or any night that 1 of Luka/Austin isn’t available…these are the nights where the vision needs to come to fruition. Both need to be aggressive and look for their offense. No excuse for complacency or passivity. Luka’s absence also hopefully forces JJ to never play Grimes Sexton Austin together.
