Well, this will be my last post on X. This platform is not a nice place to be, and as like MANY others, I am moving to #BlueSky using @paramountobs.bsky.social if you choose to move and continue following

I am so pleased to get this image of #cometC2023A3 ☄️
I only gad a short window and managed to get 7x30's subs. It's definitely gaining altitude in the early evening, so I will be checking each night and hopefully seeing how it changes as it receeds.

So happy to get this shot of C/2023 A3
Need to do some cleaning up, but great to get 5 mins on this object, which is very low on the horizon from my location.

Yes, I am in great anticipation of viewing. I just think it's going to be too low in the evening sky for me, trying to find a local spot with a clearer view of the horizon!
C12, also known as NGC 6946 or the Fireworks Galaxy, is a spiral galaxy located in the constellation Cepheus. Its nickname comes from its high rate of supernova explosions, which have been observed multiple times over the past century.

I wonder how bright this is going to be, adding to all the other bright objects' photos bombing our #Astrophotography images.

I'm working on Galaxy #C12 the fireworks galaxy, 22 million light years from #earth
With another clear night forecast for tonight, going to get more data for proper post processing, this is just using the #ASIAIR app.

I'm not sure what's going on here, but my stars, whilst colourful, they just look weird! I used #Siril to recompose them, as without the adjustment, they looked over saturated, need to figure out what's going on.

On such a beautiful day, if you like space, lie back & take a hour for some interesting conversation. Don't forget the sun block : bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m001z5…

So pleased to have managed to get a night of imaging done last night. starting with my favourite Galaxy M51.
I have a plan to image a host of galaxies to process through the summer months.
