It is selling our future for a few crumbs today. The rolling over of the e-com customs moratorium is capitulation by developing countries to a most shameless blackmail by developed countries. It is a gun to the head of the developing world that they should not tax digital economy

They just should give in to the global digital, data and AI power anchored and concentrated at the two poles of the digital world – US and China, and accept their tutelage.

Developing countries are force to trade issues of basic livelihood like in agriculture and fisheries and of public health in face of this continual blackmail. *It is selling our future for a few crumbs today*. This is what the ecom customs moratorium is about.
Very disappointed to hear India give up on ecom customs moratorium. To roll along the moratorium is to roll along the US/ China centred global digital economy model where India is fast losing out. @PMOIndia @narendramodi @PiyushGoyal

The 'fishy' digital economy surrender! For some concessions on a bad fishing deal being forced on the world, we gave up what was the door to begin asserting digital sovereignty, by first upholding the 'right to tax'! 'RIght to tax' is a sign of sovereignty over something..

The 'right to tax' is basic to asserting sovereignty, we failed to do it with our digital society and economy. The consequences are likely to be extremely serious, and possibly historic.
