Christ. Looks like the dog food company we use has gone bust. They cancelled the order & now I have to research an alternative all while not wanting to be doing this in the run up to a move & renovations at my place next week!
Anyone else feel guilty if they’re having a restless night for keeping their dog awake?! Poor love is just trying to sleep while his mama is up to all sorts of nonsense! I’m struggling with back pain, so we’re both not sleeping 😬
God, carpet cleaning becomes a bit addictive doesn’t it?! Been doing 3 hours worth today. Our carpets were gross! Probably done about half the house so far now. All ground floor done. I can’t wait until we move to a hardwood floor house! Carpets and dogs aren’t a good mix.
Oh, and this morning I was smug/raging about an ex describing his current partner on socials as “this one” (as in ‘lovely day in blah blah with this one’. Ugh. Would hate to be referred to as that. ‘This one’ as opposed to ‘that one’, or, ‘the other one’. Grim.

Well, now I’m decidedly middle-aged, I’ve spent a good chunk of the afternoon cleaning carpets. You’ll expect no less I’m sure. Bloody hell does it make me realise how filthy they were! I’ve got so much more house I can do too! So that ought to keep me busy for the foreseeable!
My poor puppy is sat at the top of the stairs refusing to come back to bed because he is sure I’m lying to him when I say it’s too early! His eyes are clearly telling him otherwise. I’ll be in for a few days of this I guess.
Asbestos testing happened today. They refused to take samples from 2 sites, so 3 tests awaiting results. Hopefully we’ll hear Friday.

Tried to get up for our usual morning walkies to the park. Rain torrential, pup less than excited. Turned off the light and am staying quite still in bed. It’s best for everyone really. We’ll go run this afternoon. When it’s drier.
Having a lovely weekend back home in my own bed. Pooch is having a great time and is very pampered. Tomorrow we’ve a play date with his bestie. It’s all very lovely.
Saturday for me has so far comprised of a 2 hour walk with the pooch and his new girlfriend followed by a couple of hours of putting things into my parents loft. I’m so solidly middle aged, aren’t I? To top it off, I’m going for a nap now, before I need to dye my hair tonight 😂
