By this logic, I can sell Ferraris for $10 as long as taxpayers pay the other $399,990. Problem solved. That’s the economics behind “30% below retail.”
The price doesn’t disappear. It just gets transferred to taxpayers, who also get the privilege of paying for Mamdani’s grocery stores, the staff, the electricity, the maintenance, and everything else.
Meanwhile, local grocery stores and bodegas get to compete with a government store that never has to earn a profit.
Regardless of what happens in the midterms, Republicans have to stop playing catch-up.
@MarkMeckler explains the Democrats’ permanent political machine and the mistakes Republicans keep making. You can’t win over voters in blue districts if you never show up.

There's a large Vietnamese community in France 🇫🇷. Vietnam was a French colony that was ruled more directly and for longer than Algeria in many respects.
Vietnamese kids top the French education rankings, have some of the lowest unemployment of any immigrant group, and somehow managed not to set Paris on fire.
Weird how some use “colonial trauma” as a reason to succeed and others treat it as a reason to riot
American-Egyptian activist Eman Mabrouk celebrates the riots in France: ''I think burn it all down, stop sucking European Master's dicks, liberation isn't going to be pretty, it's going to cost blood, it's going to cost lives.''
Really cool how this third world bio-weapon somehow gets a piece of paper calling her American even as she agitates for race war against white people. 70,000 Instagram likes!
Also really fucking cool that so-called ''Australian'' citizen Dr. Mo Mustafa - widely known as the "Beast from the Middle East'' - collaborated with her on this Instagram reel. He calls himself an Australian for the benefits of the passport while endorsing videos like this which call for explicit race war against Europeans.
Western immigration policy has been a catastrophe for decades, how the fuck did these people get passports when they hate us this much.

It appears Independent Voters are ready to jump out of the frying pan into the fire because the @GOP has totally botched the "Affordability Argument!"
They have failed to point out:
All 10 of America's most expensive cities are run by Democrats and all are Sanctuary Cities.
12 of America's 15 most expensive states are run by Democrats.
Gas Prices are the highest in Democrat controlled states.
All 8 of America's cities with the most expensive healthcare are run by Democrats and all are Sanctuary Cities.
9 of America's 10 cities with the most expensive house prices are run by Democrats (and 1 by an Independent) and 9 are Sanctuary Cities.
All 10 of the American cities with the highest home/apartment rental prices are run by Democrats (and 9 are Sanctuary Cities).
All 10 of the American cities with the highest utility costs are run by Democrats (and 9 are Sanctuary Cities).
All 10 of the American cities with the worst Income Inequality are run by Democrats and 8 are Sanctuary Cities.
Any questions?
Why hasn't a single political ad pointed this out and why hasn't a single high profile GOP candidate challenged their opponent with these easily verifiable stats???
Are Republicans really this stupid?

Yes, the structure is still there. @PasReport has done excellent reporting on this

@PasReport Professor G, kudos on calling out the problem and frustration with the “system” in the 2026 midterm podcast.
Perfectly articulated.

People who freaked out about a few white guys with tiki torches in Charlottesville — who couldn’t stop talking about that for nearly a decade — are totally fine with this hate-filled celebration of the slaughter of Jews.

Why did it take Senator Chuck Grassley to find this new information about Thomas Crooks? Is he the only person in DC with any investigative powers? The FBI was told by the Crooks' family that an "anonymous donor" paid for the cremation. It's been more than two years. Why has that donor not been identified and questioned? Who was it, what was his/her motivation? What evidence was destroyed?

We made it to July 4. Then we realized that declaring independence and actually winning it are two different things.
So our series is continuing under a new name: Dispatches from the American Revolution.

So, are you following all this?
Kids will no longer need to pass five Regents exams, but they will need to take (though not pass) four newly created state assessments covering the same subjects as the Regents: English, math, science, and social studies.
PLUS, students must demonstrate that they’ve acquired the six attributes of a “Portrait of a Graduate”:
1. Academically Prepared
2. A Creative Innovator
3. A Critical Thinker
4. An Effective Communicator
5. A Global Citizen
6. Reflective and Future-Focused
Local districts like NYC Public Schools are charged with coming up with ways to assess these traits (good luck). For students to develop these attributes, teachers and principals will need to first develop curricula, projects, and assignments for students to complete in grades 9–11. Oh, this is supposed to take effect in the next school year 2027-28.
No wonder advocacy group EdTrust-New York is asking to @NYSED to pause its plans entirely!

This week, I asked my students a simple question:
Were you ever taught about 9/11 and al-Qaeda?
Many told me they had participated in 9/11 remembrance ceremonies in school. They learned that the attacks happened, but they had never actually been taught about the events leading up to September 11, who al-Qaeda was, why America was attacked, or what followed.
Think about that for minute. We spent more than 20 years at war following the attacks of 9/11, it changed our entire way of life, yet an entire generation of Americans can graduate from school w/o ever understanding who we were fighting, why we were fighting them, or how we got there.
It’s important to remember and honor the nearly 3,000 that died that day, more than 9,400 who have since died from 9/11-related illnesses, and thousands of soldiers KIA and those who came back w/life altering injuries.
That’s exactly why 9/11 needs to be more than just a once a year ceremony.
If we want future generations to understand 9/11, we have to teach them the history behind it, including the rise of al-Qaeda, the ideology that motivated the attacks, the warnings and attacks that came before September 11, what we sacrificed in the name of security, and the wars that followed.
To me, there is a pre-9/11 America and a post-9/11 America.
Sadly, the generations born after 9/11 will never truly know what pre-9/11 America was like. But they should at least understand what changed, why it changed, and the price we paid.
“Never Forget” should also mean never stop teaching what happened and why.

If Republicans embrace federal programs whenever they like the purpose, can they still credibly claim to believe in limited government?
This is exactly what I warned about two weeks ago. Republicans won’t win elections by acting like Democrats.

“No. Incentivizing government dependency isn’t “great” for families. Dependency is one of the tools the left has used for the past 100 years to destroy the family. This proposal will also include illegal aliens, as currently law determines status by the child not the adults so anchor babies are eligible for this fund, which isn’t ‘great’ for American families …”
