Daniel Kahneman (1934-2024) was a Nobel Prize winning psychologist, a pioneer in behavioral economics and psychology of judgment and decision-making.
He was author of one of my best books, “Thinking, Fast and Slow” and also an avid reader.
Here are his 10 recommended books 🧵

Wonder how many EU leaders celebrating Jacques Delors today realize how much he embodied the community method they contribute to erode every single day #EUCO #delors
Jacques Delors has died aged 98.
He will go down into history as one of the most impactful EU Commission Presidents. Not only he established the single market - the first in the world - but also fathered the €.
Unlike most of his successors, he wasn’t a former PM, but ‘just’ a finance minister and former MEP.
Those experiences gave him a vision for the EU - which wasn’t fully embraced by the Member States which historically showed suspicion towards his unique autonomy of action.
Delors was the ‘Community method’ at its best.
RIP Jacques et Vive l’Europe!

On 1⃣4⃣ October #EWasteDay reminds us that all those small #appliances are #ElectronicWaste too, retaining precious materials. Time to declutter dusty drawers and visit your ♻ recycling point!

Since it’s obviously so good to have access to the EU’s single market, why not make that the case for the entire UK?

This 1 ton rock contains between 0.6 and 1 per cent of copper. One ton of ore generates a maximum 6 to 10 kilograms of copper. Depending on the size of battery, an electric bus can use between 224 and 369 kg of copper. How do we get the copper out of the rock? Mining 🧵
