An excellent read from Mark Steyn on the left's push for national extinction below. It is extraordinary the level of hate and loathing of Western civilization that exists among the radical left, specifically the Marxist Democrats in the USA and socialists in Europe. The only answer is mandatory remigration of hostile illegal migrants back to their countries of origin. Time is short: another 10 years in Europe and a return to 4 more years of Democrat rule in the WH and Congress, and it will be too late to reverse. The very peoples who created the modern world will be history.
A country is not a place, it's a people. Population replacement has consequences. "Permanence is the illusion of every age." Mark Steyn: It’s the demography, stupid steynonline.com/7428/it-stil…

Zelenskyy: I feel the lifting of US sanctions on Russia is a sapper's test of a minefield. After oil and diesel, fertilizers could go next, and everybody will hide behind farmers. Then could come sanctions on Russian gas products. 1/

Musk: “We should show some sympathy for the poor russian conscripts too.” The same “poor russian conscripts” who murdered more than 450 civilians in Bucha? The sheer fucking hypocrisy.
Replying to @skscartoon
The endless slaughter of Ukrainian and Russians must stop. We should some sympathy for the poor Russian conscripts too. Those kids have no choice but to fight and die in drone strikes.

Another Putin ally has fallen in Europe! After more than a decade of dominating Serbian politics, Aleksandar Vučić has conceded defeat in parliamentary elections to a student-led opposition movement. This is a major political earthquake in Europe. Vučić maintained close ties with Putin, refused to impose sanctions on russia over its invasion of Ukraine, and tried to balance relations between Moscow and the West. But after nearly two years of student-led protests against corruption and authoritarianism, Serbian voters have delivered a stunning rejection of his ruling party. According to preliminary projections, the opposition is expected to secure 135–140 seats in the 250-seat parliament. And here is what makes this victory particularly remarkable: It was students who helped bring down a political establishment that had dominated Serbia for more than a decade. First, Viktor Orbán lost power in Hungary. Now Vučić’s party has lost in Serbia. Two European leaders who maintained close relationships with Putin have suffered historic electoral defeats in the same year. Of course, this does not guarantee that Serbia will suddenly become pro-Ukrainian. But it creates an opportunity for a different relationship with Europe and a different approach toward russia. Putin is losing political allies in Europe. And that is good news for Ukraine. Congratulations to the people of Serbia!

I am very happy to see @MariaCorinaYA return to Venezuela. Her extraordinary struggle reminds us that the path to freedom may be long, but it is worth fighting for. We all hope that 🇻🇪 will now move towards truly free elections and fully rejoin the family of democratic nations.

Che Guevara – The T-Shirt. Is there a sillier sight than a Westerner wearing a Che T-shirt? The face is everywhere: the beret, the star, the faraway gaze. A photograph taken in Havana in 1960, now printed on shirts, mugs and posters, manufactured in factories and sold for profit. The great enemy of capitalism became one of its best-selling brands. So let’s look at the man behind the T-shirt. Ernesto Guevara was born in Argentina in 1928, into a comfortable family, and trained as a doctor. Before the revolution, he toured South America on a motorcycle. Hollywood later made a film about it. The romance practically writes itself. In the Sierra Maestra, a peasant guide was suspected of informing on the rebels. Che shot him himself. In his diary, he recorded: "I ended the problem with a .32 caliber pistol." After the communist victory in Cuba in 1959, he was put in charge of La Cabaña, the fortress prison in Havana. Revolutionary tribunals. Firing squads at dawn. Dozens, possibly hundreds, were executed under his authority. At the United Nations in 1964, he said it plainly: "We have executed, we are executing and we will continue to execute." He founded Cuba's first forced-labour camp, for "re-education" – the forerunner of the camps where the regime later sent homosexuals, priests and dissidents. Then they gave him the economy: first the central bank, then the Ministry of Industry. He signed Cuban banknotes simply "Che." In 1962, Cuba introduced the ration book. It still has one. That same year, during the missile crisis, he said that if the Soviet missiles had stayed under Cuban control, they would have used them – against the heart of the United States, New York included. In his essay Socialism and Man in Cuba, he praised hatred as an element of revolutionary struggle, describing it as what turns a man into "an effective, violent, selective and cold killing machine." In 1967, he was captured in Bolivia and executed. He was thirty-nine. Castro is remembered as a ruthless dictator. Che is remembered as a hero. The difference? Che didn’t live long enough to rule Cuba for decades. We will never know whether he would have been worse than Castro. Trotsky was the "good communist" who lost. Che is the other kind: the one who died young. Death froze him at the age of the poster. Next time you see the T-shirt, remember what it represents: the portrait of a man who helped build a revolutionary system of executions and forced labour, printed by capitalism and worn by useful idiots, the very people he would have sent to the camps.
Trotsky – The Myth. Ask a Western leftist which communist he admires, and you often get the same answer: Trotsky. The intellectual. The orator. The true revolutionary, betrayed by Stalin. If only he had won… Look at the young Trotsky in the picture: round glasses, wild hair, burning eyes. Many young leftists today would recognize themselves in him. The look hasn’t changed. Neither has the certainty. So let’s look at what he did when he had power. Born in 1879 in what is now southern Ukraine, Trotsky was a brilliant writer and a spellbinding speaker. In October 1917, he played a central role in organizing the Bolshevik seizure of power. Then Lenin made him Commissar for War, and he built the Red Army, directing it from an armoured train that rushed from front to front. Deserters were shot. Military discipline was enforced through executions. Blocking detachments were deployed to stop retreating soldiers, and former tsarist officers recruited into the Red Army were kept under surveillance by political commissars. Their families were sometimes held hostage to guarantee their loyalty. Cruelty knows no limits when you have no doubts. In 1920, the Red Army marched on Warsaw. It was stopped on the Vistula. That same year, Trotsky published an entire book, Terrorism and Communism, explaining why revolutionary terror was necessary. He wanted labour militarized too: workers organized like soldiers, subjected to military discipline and compelled to serve the needs of the state. In 1921, the sailors of Kronstadt – once hailed as the pride of the revolution – demanded free elections to the soviets. Trotsky supported the suppression of the revolt. Thousands were killed in the assault or executed afterwards. Then he lost the power struggle to Stalin. Expelled, exiled, forced abroad. From there, he wrote that the revolution had been betrayed – by Stalin, never by himself. He ended up in Mexico City, where he stayed for a time with Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera. And so the Western romance took shape: the exiled prophet, the revolutionary betrayed, the road not taken. In August 1940, a Soviet agent who had gained his confidence entered his study and struck him with an ice axe. The machine Trotsky had helped build had come for him too. His killer later received the Soviet Union’s highest honour. Trotsky was not the alternative to Stalin. He was the same machine – only with better prose. He never rejected the terror. He rejected losing control of it. The "good communist" is always the one who lost. Next: Stalin.

Russia is very likely to use the ceasefire and press tour in Oleshky for propaganda❗️ They will try to shift the blame for the humanitarian crisis onto Ukraine, whitewash their war crimes, and leverage NewsMax's presence to legitimize their narrative on the international stage. In today's interview, President Zelenskyy warned: "The Russians must demine the roads. Undoubtedly, Russia will do everything to demine the roads in such a way that these people move toward Russia and remain there. After all, they won't agree to just let the people go." Indeed, controlled demining is one way to force people onto Russian-held territory while painting themselves as saviors. Earlier this month, on October 7, the Security Service of Ukraine issued its own warning about planned Russian propaganda campaigns: "According to operational data, servicemen from one of the occupying units have been ordered to prepare a series of ‘compromising’ interviews with the residents of the occupied town. In these videos, local residents are required to accuse the Ukrainian Defense Forces of constant shelling and the blockade of the town; discredit the decisions of Ukraine’s military and political leadership; and express a positive attitude and gratitude towards the military of the aggressor state." Russia has a long history of using controlled press tours to craft propaganda in carefully staged settings. In reality, the disaster in Oleshky is the direct result of a Russian blockade. Russian forces have been using civilians as human shields for drone operator units stationed in the town that continue to bomb Kherson across the river. Several videos online show Ukrainian troops attempting to deliver humanitarian aid via drones, precisely because Russian forces have blocked access to Oleshky for months. I call on the international community, especially journalists and editors, to remain vigilant. Russia can and will try to exploit this situation for propaganda, just as they have repeatedly created and exploited humanitarian disasters in the past.

FACT CHECK: The vast majority of Russian soldiers in Ukraine are volunteers not conscripts. They have chosen to fight and receive exceptionally high salaries. Putin’s entire recruitment strategy is based on avoiding conscription by offering huge financial incentives to volunteers
How come Elon Musk is the only one seriously talking about all these young people dying in the trenches for no reason and begging for this war to stop? Innocent young Ukrainians and Russian conscripts are getting blown apart by drones, losing their lives And then you look at Europe. What do you only keep hearing from so many European leaders? More weapons, more ammunition, more military support. “We cannot let Russia win” You almost never hear them seriously talking about how to bring peace and end this war for good Why the hell aren't those same leaders putting that much energy into figuring out how to stop this meat grinder? What are these leaders actually doing to stop young people from dying every single day? What are they doing to end this endless slaughter? Why aren't they putting the same urgency into finding a way to end this war instead of constantly talking about sending more weapons and how they should continue this war forever? These are human beings. They have parents, families, loved ones, and entire lives ahead of them. And they're dying in trenches because of decisions made by people who will never have to experience what those young soldiers are going through And that includes the poor Russian conscripts who have no choice but to fight. They're human beings too. Their lives matter too How many more young people need to die before stopping this war becomes just as important as deciding who wins it? Why does it take Elon Musk to keep reminding people about the human lives being destroyed by this war? Seriously, where the hell is the urgency to stop all this killing? everyone who wants to continue this war is pure evil

Any agreement that includes guarantees from the United States of America raises one question: how did previous American guarantees turn out? The US guarantees provided under the Budapest Memorandum ended in expressions of “deep concern.” While russian tanks were approaching Kyiv and Kyiv residents were desperately trying to board trains to escape toward the border, the United States was suffering from deep concern. We can only sympathize with the American officials who had to endure such stress. President Biden’s guarantees to support Ukraine for as long as it takes ended along with Biden’s presidency. And then the very same people who applauded Zelenskyy in Congress in 2022 bent the knee before presidential candidate Donald Trump and collectively blocked weapons deliveries to Ukraine for six months. Europe gave the United States unprecedentedly favorable trade conditions in exchange for guarantees of protection against the USSR/russia. But Trump first demanded that Europe increase its defense budgets to purchase American weapons, and then began withdrawing American troops from Europe. Security guarantees for Europe are collapsing right now, before our very eyes. So when Zelenskyy now talks about some hypothetical peace backed by US guarantees, we must clearly understand that he is describing a fantasy scenario. In the real world, American guarantees ceased to exist long ago. They are just as real as Santa Claus and healthy food at McDonald’s. Any agreement with the russians based on American guarantees is not worth Marco Rubio’s oversized shoes or JD Vance’s eyeliner. I strongly advise the president of Ukraine to think a hundred times before walking into a trap and mistaking wishful thinking for reality. We all want peace, but peace is not on the negotiating table right now. Instead, sitting across the table from Ukraine are the two biggest liars in the world: Trump and Putin. Neither of them can be trusted with a single penny, let alone the fate of the entire Ukrainian nation. Taking the promises of people who have already violated every possible agreement at face value is the ultimate degree of infantilism and intellectual deficiency. Ukraine must never repeat its mistakes and trust American guarantees ever again. Source: translated and adopted from the text of Serhil Marchenko

Zelenskyy: I do not discuss Ukraine's army size with Russia or the US. The best security guarantee is NATO plus a strong Ukrainian army inside the alliance. If financing exists, Ukraine keeps 800,000 troops. NATO will want a strong Ukrainian army within the alliance. 1/

Ukraine, not Russia, has held the initiative in key sectors of the frontline for much of the year. Ukrainian forces have decisively defeated the main Russian offensive intended to complete the seizure of Donetsk Oblast in 2026. Ukrainian forces operationally defeated the Russian northern pincer in the Lyman direction and defeated the Russian military command’s plan to conduct a wide encirclement of Ukraine’s Fortress Belt. Ukraine’s Operation Vivaldi resulted in the liberation of around 277 square kilometers and 16 settlements north and northeast of Lyman over four phases that Ukrainian 3rd Army Corps Commander Brigadier General Andrii Biletskyi began announcing in September 2026, although the operation likely began around March 2026.
MORE: Putin is trying once again to breathe life into the myth of inevitable Russian military victory in order to persuade the United States and other supporters of Ukraine to compel Kyiv to surrender. Putin constantly asserts that Russian forces are making gains along the entire frontline. He makes claims of territorial gains so far from reality as to be fantasy. He hearkens back to the Soviet Union and the Red Army to evoke images of Soviet hordes overrunning the German Wehrmacht. But these claims, images, and maps of supposed Russian gains are all fictional. Reality is quite the opposite.

🔥🇺🇦 For the second month in a row, Russia is losing ground while Ukraine keeps regaining its territory. Recent battlefield assessments show Ukrainian forces recovering territory as Russia’s advances slow dramatically. And this is happening while Russia’s budget is under enormous strain, its military industry is being hit far behind the front, and the war is reaching places Moscow once considered safely protected by distance. 🎯 Last night, another strategically important military plant was hit in Yelets. The Energia factory produces accumulators and power components used in Russian missiles, drones, and air-defense systems. And Russia has another problem: its enormous size is turning from an advantage into a vulnerability. Air defenses cannot protect everything when strategic military and industrial targets are spread across such a huge territory. So whatever Donald Trump says, this is not the moment to appease Vladimir Putin. It is the moment to keep weakening Russia’s ability to wage this war. 💙💛 Subscribe to demonstrate your solidarity with Ukraine – and share to spread the truth. #StandWithUkraine #RussiaIsCollapsing #MakeRussiaSmallAgain #Ukraine
