Yes!
Grateful to @ArchbishopSarah for her voice on humanitarian crises. When wars end, communities must be reconciled. That patient, human work of healing is often led by faith. Our common cause: protecting people, upholding principle and building conditions for lasting peace.

Women and girls must be at the heart of humanitarian response. I've directed $10M from UN's Emergency Fund CERF through @UN_Women and @UNFPA across eight crises, giving local women-led organisations a central role to lead in crises.

I recognise this handsome chap!
There are seasons of work where simply being in the room is part of the reward. Our first-ever Global Leaders Meetings are underway, and tomorrow we turn to tactics. Until no community is cut off. #MAFInternational #GLM

MAF has been responding to #Ebola in #Ituri Province #DRC where some 1,000 cases have been reported and at least 220 people have died (BBC). MAF has transported hazmat suits, a crisis team and evacuated people to Uganda who have been affected: f.mtr.cool/dwcljiupei @mafuganda

The conflict across the Middle East is having a devastating impact on civilians, and pushing other crises further from view. My interview with BBC’s @bbclaurak on why this is a moment for cooler heads.

Couldn't be clearer!
The UN has been here eight decades. We’re sticking around.

So pleased to see this message for hope as we eneter a New Year..
2025 was tough. But 2026 is going to be a year of ambition and solidarity. Our plan? Laser-focused, stripped back, costed, reformed, efficient – a plan to save 87m lives in 2026. Let’s go.

You can't argue with this...
Just announced $2 billion US contribution in support of our plan to save 87m lives in 2026. Thank you to President Trump, Sec. Rubio and Jeremy Lewin for powerful vote of confidence in Humanitarian Reset: neutral, efficient, lean, locally led humanitarian action. Let’s deliver.

Timely and 'spot on' observations by @krishk - There's much to be encouraged about... the directioin of travel I wrote about a while ago is continuing apace! patfinlow.org.uk/_files/ugd/…
There’s a new opportunity for faith communities to play a meaningful role in international aid and development. I’m noticing a real shift in the climate when it comes to partnerships between government, aid and development agencies, and the Church.

Great shout out to Folkestone Food Stop!!
There are so many people out there helping their communities, trom Folkestone to DC to Gaza. We need that humanitarian movement right now. @chefjoseandres @WCKitchen

Absolutely…
If these kids can - somehow - find a way to keep going, then what right have we to despair at the task ahead, or fail to stand at their side. #Gaza

Our 60-day Gaza plan is delivering. Since the ceasefire, we have been able to bring in much more flour, yeast, and fuel for machines. New UN supported bakeries are being opened every day. Visited the latest, where 300,000 pieces of bread are already being produced daily. @WFP
