Very disappointing! Liberal MPs (including those living in Alberta) voted down bill C-264, today.
At a time when Canada needs to diversify our trade, this decision keeps a barrier to overseas energy markets firmly in place and leaves us dependent on American buyers.

Strathcona Resources is proposing to ship up to 250,000 barrels of Canadian oil a day by rail to Prince Rupert and then on to overseas markets.
Only one thing stands in the way: Mark Carney's tanker ban.
Let’s create more 🇨🇦 jobs, get better prices for our resources, and be less dependent on the U.S. by voting YES to Conservative MP @DMcKenzieCPC's bill on Wednesday to scrap the tanker ban and put Canada first.

I have spoken to thousands of Albertans this summer, and the message I've been hearing is crystal clear:
We need a stronger Alberta within a United Canada.
Last week I voted for “option 1” to remain a province of Canada.
Today is the last day to vote.
Albertans have every right to be angry with their federal government but separation is not the solution.

Conservatives want a strong Alberta within a United Canada.
We will not shy away from this debate. I am so optimistic about the future of Alberta and the future of Canada.
I hope that tomorrow Albertans pick a stronger Alberta within a United Canada.

Pray for Wainwright, everyone.
There has been a serious incident that caused a fire at CFB Wainwright. Thank you to the brave firefighters and emergency responders working to save lives.
I have spoken to the Prime Minister and the Minister of Defence to offer our support to everyone on the base and in the community.
To everyone in the area, please stay safe, follow local emergency instructions, and keep roads clear for first responders.
Great to have @GarnettGenuis @elanharper and a team of #ConservativesforCanada in Calgary Crowfoot today.
The solution is a Stronger Alberta within a United Canada.

Conservatives fighting for a Stronger Alberta within a United Canada. On October 19th I’m voting for option 1. I’m going to keep up the fight to fix Ottawa because our country is worth fighting for.
Asked about AB's referendum & why Conservatives want a strong AB in a strong Canada, with @DaneLloydMP, I noted Albertans' legitimate frustrations, but Ottawa should treat AB fairly through meaningful policy change not separation.

46 years ago, Terry Fox began his Marathon of Hope across Canada to raise money and awareness for cancer research.
And so today, thousands of Canadians will remember this hero by joining the Terry Fox Run.
May we honour his legacy by carrying that hope forward, one step at a time.
