This is a tragedy in a time of grave disbelief. “Nothing emboldens the wicked so greatly as the lack of courage on the part of the good.” - Pope Leo XIII (Who composed the St. Michael’s Prayer after experiencing a terrifying vision in 1884 of Satan attacking the Church). *By the way, John Paul the Second encouraged the use of this prayer in the 1980s.
Our local bishop is banning the St Michael prayer from the end of Mass. His article, in the local Catholic paper, explains that in order to celebrate the liturgy “in accordance with the mind of the Church” priests need to “catechize the people of God as we move away from additional prayers recited together immediately before, during, and immediately after Mass.”

This level of disrespect is incomprehensible. As the names of Americans murdered on September 11th are read aloud at Ground Zero, AOC and Mamdani are laughing and smiling together. There is a time and a place for politics. This isn’t it. Ground Zero is sacred ground. Those names belong to fathers, mothers, sons, daughters, firefighters, cops, and innocent Americans who went to work one morning and never came home. For a few hours, on one day, have some damn respect. September 11th is not a photo op. It is not a networking event. It is a funeral America has attended for 25 years.

There's a lot of talk that Dr. Fauci is escaping accountability for his handling of the Coronavirus epidemic, but remember this: here is a man who cares desperately about recognition and reputation. All that was in ruins as he sat miserably before that Senate committee Wednesday. He has had a spectacular fall from grace, and has no way to recover.

Came across this 1965 Reds Cubs game broadcast on YouTube. I really like this camera angle they used a good portion of the game. …No batting gloves only 1/2 the players wore a batting helmet

🚨 DEMOCRATS HAVE BEEN HIJACKED! 🚨 Senator John Fetterman just dropped a nuclear truth bomb on his own party: “The Democratic Party is DEAD. It’s been completely hijacked by pro-Hamas, anti-Israel radicals who cheer for October 7th, push antisemitism, want to ABOLISH ICE, DEFUND the police, and throw open the borders!” This isn’t the party of old. It’s now run by socialists and extremists winning primaries while real Americans watch in horror. Fetterman — one of the LAST pro-Israel Democrats left — is sounding the alarm. Trump already crippled Iran’s nuclear nightmare and terror machine. Now we MUST keep winning to save this country from the radical takeover. The hijacking is REAL. The betrayal is complete. Are you awake yet, America? 🇺🇸 #DemocratsHijacked #FettermanSpeaksTruth #Trump2028

Wes Gardner, who pitched 30 games for the Mets in ‘84 & ‘85, passed away today at 65. Gardner was in the majors for parts of 8 seasons with the Mets, Red Sox, Padres & Royals. After the 1985 season he was part of a 7-player trade in which the Mets acquired Bobby Ojeda from Boston

Watch the crowd shot as Willie rounds the bases. Note the gentleman in the raincoat who looks old enough to have seen Mays play as a New York Giant and the unbridled joy seeing him homer as a Met. That incredible passion speaks to the impact of the great Willie Mays in New York.
5/14/1972 Playing the Giants in his first game as a Met, Willie Mays hits a solo home run to give New York the lead.

It's not disrespectful to O.J. Simpson to mention at his passing that he committed double murder. To not mention it is disrespectful to his victims. youtube.com/watch?v=Fe-Ywc5q…

Stephen A. Smith on O.J. Simpson: "Most people believe that he committed those murders. I know that if I was on the jury, he would have been under the damn jail. I know that much. I believed he was guilty."
