Maybe you don’t need a niche. Maybe you need a recognisable way of seeing things.
My favourite writers can make almost any subject interesting.
I don’t follow them because they always discuss the same thing. I follow them because they notice things I don’t.
Everybody says “Find your niche and stick to it.”
But imagine meeting someone at a party who says, “Sorry, I only discuss sourdough. Politics, music and the human condition are off-brand.”
We’d find that bizarre.

It might sound obvious but I think sometimes people forget that we are not our online personas. You are not the mask you present to the world.
And it can be immensely liberating to remember that.
