Dolores Huerta was a pioneering labor leader and legendary civil rights activist. Amidst the struggle of the movement, her rallying cry, "Sí se puede," was a call to stay in the fight.
The work of Dolores Huerta and the United Farm Workers was a driving force for change across California and our country. Her brilliant organizing and fierce negotiating came to the national spotlight during the Delano Grape strike, and countless people benefited from her decades-long career. Thanks to her, immigrants and workers won better wages, working conditions, environmental protections, and voting rights.
I was blessed to know Dolores for many years and proud to organize alongside my dear friend to champion working families and immigrant rights. I will always be grateful for her support and friendship. We will honor her legacy by continuing the fight for the dignity of every person.
Doug and I send our love and prayers to the four generations of loving family she leaves behind, the community she built, and to the millions of people who have been touched by her work.

I am in Clayton County, Georgia and have been talking to older Black voters outside a polling place and ahead of this Obama rally and can confirm: older Black voters to a tee are FURIOUS about the Supreme Court killing the Voting Rights Act. This is the home of John Lewis, Hosea Williams and MLK Jr.

My father was beaten bloody and almost died in full military uniform after being dragged off a bus as he tried to vote! He physically suffered to his last day from that beating. We vote in this house cause my folks paid for that right!

While perhaps more under the radar than other potential candidates, @KamalaHarris has, in fact, met with donors:
- Met with JP Morgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon in New York in April
- Was spotted at a restaurant in September with what a supporter described as “the head of Netflix”, purportedly a female (up until very recently, the Chief Content Officer of Netflix was a woman named Bela Bajaria, a documented donor and political fundraiser for Kamala Harris)
- Spoke with a top D.N.C. donor, Phil Munger (time undisclosed)
- Harris/Harris aides have reached out to seven members of her 2020 National Finance Committee over the last few months (per @Zohreen)
- A top donor who originally said immediately after her loss that he wouldn’t support another Harris run has said, recently, that he in fact would (per @Zohreen)
