Why does @BBCNews constantly describe the French riots as "mostly peaceful"?
When only 500 of 50,000 fans invaded the pitch, was the match "mostly peaceful"? On most days of WWI, the Western Front was "mostly peaceful".
There's clearly an agenda here, but what is it?
Surveys often ask whether a service "Exceeds my expectations". So, if you expect excellence and get it, the only rational answer is "Strongly disagree". I suspect they'll view that as a negative when it isn't.
Financial institutions seem to think the biggest threat to my online security is a stranger wandering into my bedroom while I'm making a coffee and accessing my computer. Why else would @santanderuk log me out after 5 minutes? And @HLInvest has got on the same bandwagon.
Trying to reactivate a seller account on @AmazonUK. I'm on my eighth "One Time Password" and still no luck.
Lots of websites now saying, "Sorry, our site only works properly with @googlechrome." @YouGov is just one example.
They can't all have hired incompetent web developers. Is Google up to something?
When new uses for words become popular, it's usually obvious what they mean. But I'm still baffled about "based" and "clutch".
What a bizarre take. "You cheated but you can still keep your medals."
Apart from how far they get relegated, the only question should be whether to award the trophies to the runners up or leave the titles blank as per Lance Armstrong.

Whenever I hear the term "14 years" I switch off. I'm interested in who's going to solve a problem, not in who didn't solve it in the past.
Someone needs to have a word with goalkeeping coaches. Lammens could have saved that goal by using his hands instead of his feet. #FulMun
An outfit called Outlier wants me to accept their T&Cs. The document is 13,000 words. Are they insane?
Didn't she do that ghastly version of World In Union for the 2016 Rugby World Cup, then topped it with her Brexit 'protest song' "The plebs are so thick" (or whatever it was called)?
Truly the new Woody Guthrie.
The ghastly Paloma Faith is trending - here's one I made earlier! spiked-online.com/2024/08/14…
I look at the US constitution as a shining example of why we shouldn't have a written constitution. Imagine being tied for evermore to the "wisdom" of slave-owners who could write "all men are created equal"; "all men" meaning "all white, English-speaking, property-owning males".
Every time I think there can't be a more incompetent company than @Acer, another pops up. And it's usually Acer again. Left them a comment, but "Comments contains invalid characters". Which letters of the alphabet are invalid, they don't say.
"How easy was that?" Fucking difficult. Thanks for asking but not allowing a reply.
Companies demand a new photo of your ID even though you have one on your documents.
It's telling that @Channel4News has turned off replies only for this story. It's almost as if they know they've abandoned journalistic ethics to promote an ideology.
TV journalism shows the interviewer, the interviewee and the two of them together. Why not the last? We know why.
'I will never be safe in a man's toilet', says Isabella who is a trans woman.
Thousands of single-sex spaces in the UK, like changing rooms and toilets, should be used based on biological sex, according to new guidelines that come into place today from the Equalities and Human Rights Commission. The guidance says trans people should instead be offered a separate mixed-sex space.
It follows a Supreme Court ruling last year that the definition of sex for the purposes of the Equality Act means biological sex - the sex of a person at birth, not the gender you identify with.
While gender critical organisations welcome clarification on the law', many in the trans community and LGBTQ+ organisations feel the guidelines leave them more open to discrimination.

The media are failing in the Prof Arday story. They must be able to find _something_ he's told the truth about.
It's ironic that @santanderuk keeps pressing me to go paperless, yet the only way to contact them in writing is to send them a letter.
