Israel going to the polls changes NOTHING for Palestinians. Western media treats the election as a contest between Netanyahu’s far-right coalition and a "moderate" opposition. In reality, the alternative to Netanyahu is an alliance of generals and hardliners who have driven the exact same machinery of violence and dispossession for decades: Gadi Eisenkot: The opposition frontrunner who formulated the Dahiya doctrine—mandating the deliberate, disproportionate destruction of civilian infrastructure. He sat in the war cabinet over Gaza and dismissed ICC war crimes investigations as "antisemitism." Yair Lapid: The supposed centrist whose stated principle is "maximum Jews on maximum land with minimum Palestinians." Avigdor Lieberman: Declared "there are no innocents in Gaza" while cutting off water, power, and food. Naftali Bennett: Boasted on record, "I have killed many Arabs in my life, and there is no problem with that." As Peter Oborne reports from the West Bank, an opposition victory might actually be far more dangerous internationally. It would provide Western allies with the diplomatic PR cover they crave to drop pressure, restore impunity, and pretend Israel is back to being a "rules-based democracy." Meanwhile, on the ground: State-armed settlers continue expelling Palestinian communities at gunpoint. Demolitions across East Jerusalem accelerate unabated. Human rights bodies document systemic, industrial torture across detention camps. The ballot box in Tel Aviv is not a choice between occupation and peace. It is a choice between overt extremism under Netanyahu and an internationally sanitized version of the exact same apartheid state under his rivals.

Just listen to this. Then consider these polls: 76% of Jewish Israelis think there are no innocents in Gaza (Aug 2025) 82% support expelling Palestinians from Gaza (May 2025) 47% support killing all inhabitants of conquered enemy cities (May 2025)

You're such an Establishment shill. We've seen it all before with the Corbyn takedown. Piss off with your pathetic, sycophantic bullshit.

Okay, I'm breaking character here. This is not a satire post. My 2-year-old son is in a wheelchair that we can't fit into our car. We are not eligible to apply for a wheelchair accessible vehicle until he is three--and even then we would have to pay about £13,000 towards it (which we don't have). The idea that disabled people get given free cars willy-nilly is bullshit. My son has to attend regular appointments at various locations. He has a team of specialists dedicated to helping him with an extremely rare neurological condition that means he needs around the clock supervision. He can't even hold his own head up so a regular car seat is out of the question. He was using a baby seat, but he's outgrown that. It's really tough for us to get around because misinformation from pricks like Nigel influences public opinion. Does this seem right?

Having made Ep 2 of the Labour Files I thought nothing could shock me but the crudeness of the media’s attempts to Corbyn Polanski is truly breathtaking. Let’s apply what might be called journalism to this Observer piece. Firstly – the headline claim – “membership plummets”. Apparently one local party (unnamed) has seen a two-point drop in membership since the Zionism is racism motion was passed. IF replicated nationally this would mean 4,400 people - less than 2% of the membership. You’ll not be startled to learn the Observer entirely omits one key stat from the Opinium poll, which can be found online. “Over half (56%) of current Green voters think the Green Party were right the pass the motion, while only 13% said they were wrong.” Most of the other stats involve comparisons with the unprecedented highs Polanski took the Greens to in the spring. At 9% the Greens are simply back to where they were the day Polanski became leader. Polanski has transformed the Green Party – quadrupling its membership to almost quarter of a million and placing it in a position where it was able to pressure the Labour Party into removing a sitting prime minister – a level of influence Green Party leaders of the past could only dream of. Polanski is being subjected to this level of vitriol precisely because he represents a threat in a way Caroline Lucas never did. Green voters and members now face a simple test. Do they trust their own eyes and ears – or do they do what the BBC, the Guardian and the Observer tell them to do. Since they did this to Corbyn tens of thousands of Palestinian children have been slaughtered. It has transformed the way potential Green voters see the world. In many cases that is why they have become Green voters. It’s astonishing the degree to which the political/media class remains trapped in the mind set of 2018. observer.co.uk/news/politics…

Very powerful video by antiZionist Jewish @thegreenparty member Zoe Cohen on why she supported the Zionism is Racism motion. Ignore the noise of the liberal elite, true anti racists stand against racism in all its forms. Zionism is not only racist towards Palestinians who are its primary victims, but it is also deeply antisemitic. Support justice & humanity & do what is right not what is easy

The UK Green Party has voted to recognize that Zionism is a form of racism. In other news, the party recognizes that water is wet, fire is hot, and, (believe it or not), genocide is wrong. A political party that tells the truth? How did this happen? Cue the outrage of the Israeli apartheid regime, its proxies, and its smear machine. The truth must remain unspoken. Those who defend human rights must be punished. The regime must be obeyed.

If you’re not following Caitlin, she would be the first account I’d recommend anyone to follow. She provided my first dose of inspiration on here, and she remains a perpetual source of it. There is something about how she humanises the struggle against oppression that I believe is of massive importance — particularly since the enemy we face is one built on dehumanisation. I also think her and her husband’s work has near-universal appeal to conscious humans who aren’t guided by their own wounds and prejudices but by a genuine desire to see a more just and fair world. She remains one of the few prominent voices that you can genuinely see is not fuelled by some personal bias outside of her desire for better. I can’t think of higher praise than this in this space.
Every so often I like to write out an explanation of who I am and what I’m trying to do here, for the benefit of new followers and for my own mental clarity. The Caitlin Johnstone project is actually run by two people: myself and my husband Tim Foley, who co-authors all my written works. Tim and I fell in love in 2014, started writing together in 2016 after we got married, and in 2017 we launched the audience-funded platform you see today. Everything we publish is unconditionally free to view without any paywalls or advertisements; all our funding comes from voluntary donations from readers and viewers who feel inspired to support what we do. All our work is copyright-free, so everyone is allowed to republish, reuse, reappropriate, translate, or outright copy anything we put out without asking permission or providing attribution, so you’ll see things we wrote pop up on all kinds of platforms all around the world in many different languages. I’ve lived my whole life in Melbourne with some brief stays in the UK. I received a journalism degree from RMIT in 2003 but didn’t do any news media work because I’d learned that the legacy press was too corrupt to do actual journalism in. So instead I focused on raising my kids, healing my inner wounds, and becoming a conscious person. Tim was born in Philadelphia and lived most of his life in California, where he worked in healthcare. We met in an online discussion forum about spiritual enlightenment in 2011, we fell in love in 2014, Tim moved to Australia in 2016, and we’ve been falling ever since. This project is basically just an outgrowth of that ongoing romance. We don’t have kids together, so we spend our time making creativity babies in the form of essays, poetry, paintings and books. We are each other’s muse so we’re rarely at a loss for inspiration, which is why we’ve been able to write so prolifically all these years. Our ultimate goal is to help create a healthy world so that we can live extremely long lives together in a harmonious future. We have long conversations every day about what’s going on in the world and where we’re headed as a species, and our daily articles are generally outgrowths of those conversations. I function as the editor-in-chief of our project, determining the shape, feel, and ideological direction of our work, and having the final say in whatever gets published. Tim does most of the readings and videos because he’s good at reading aloud and I dislike appearing on camera. Ideologically I sit well to the left side of the political spectrum; I am frequently called a communist, which is fine by me. I want a world where everyone has what they need, where plutocrats can’t leverage obscene amounts of wealth to manipulate our society to their advantage, and where we live in harmony with the global south instead of enslaving its people using military violence and economic coercion. I oppose tyranny, war, militarism, capitalism, imperialism, Zionism, the western intelligence cartel, mass surveillance, government secrecy, police brutality, censorship, propaganda, and the suppression of journalism. I despise racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, western supremacism, and all prejudices which harm marginalized populations. I believe we live in a tyrannical mind-controlled dystopia at the center of an empire that is fueled by human blood, and that we ordinary people can change this by using the power of our numbers to force the creation of a just system. Westerners are currently too propagandized to understand the urgent need for revolutionary change, but I see signs that we are beginning to awaken from that trance. Ultimately what’s needed is a radical transformation of human consciousness away from our self-destructive egoic patterning. We know that this is possible on an individual scale in the process commonly known as spiritual enlightenment, so there exists within us the possibility of such a transformation on a collective level as well. Anyone who has ever had a spiritual awakening knows you can hear the same teaching or pointer a thousand times before it finally hits home and rips your mind wide open, so just because we haven’t yet become a conscious species doesn’t mean we can’t become one. It’s all about helping humanity see through its various illusions and delusions so that we can wake up to reality and create a healthy world. Everything I publish is pointed at this in some way. That’s what this project is and will continue to be, and I am deeply honored that so many people have been eager to come along for the journey.
