At Pairi Daiza Zoo in Belgium, staff came up with an unusual idea: let a family of Asian small-clawed otters share a habitat with the giant ginger orangutans. And it turned out to be a brilliant idea! The little furry troublemakers started climbing out of the water, pestering the orangutans, and challenging them to play. And the orangutans happily joined in! An orangutan named Ujian and his son Berani became especially close friends with the otters. In 2020, photos of this adorable and unlikely friendship went viral around the world.
