Years ago I decided to create what was in my head and share it via social media. I don’t debate, discuss or argue. Because I make stuff - It has opened doors, introduced me to brilliant creative artists, and allowed me to follow my passion. I am forever grateful.
A rainy old Sunday on the coast. Great weather for adding some new effects to Hazelight projection mapping app. A waterfall physics effect, and a portal border for circle video layer. Great fun.
Hazelight now updated. Some new effects and working on iPadOS27. Enjoy.

A quick start guide for teachers for my TransfoMAP app. Blank canvas starting point with steps, link to app and tips for reluctant writers. Because maps have stories and when a student creates their own, they have their own story behind it. @AppleEDU
Gee things speeding up with App Store submissions. Hazelight (that Projection mapping App) went through in 24 hours!!! Wow. Normally a week. If you have access to a projector - give it a go! Quick guide below for your first project. @AppleEDU
What started out as a project mapping iPad/iPhone app idea where you can load multiple videos to a screen - has morphed into something more. I think the physics element is super exciting and presents opportunities to use old projectors in new ways. @AppleEDU #projectionmapping
So overnight TransforMAP went live on App store. Student draw maps (use plain black pen or use Markup on iPad). The app converts the map to a fantasy style mqp. Why did I build it? Maps are a way of storytelling. @AppleEDU apps.apple.com/au/app/transf…
I am now convinced IT departments need to give old projectors to the Art department.
Some more physics applied.

Got physics working in my projection mapping app. Map to image - project. So cool. @AppleEDU
App weekend prototyping: projection mapping. New app that allows user to plug iPad or iPhone into projector (this is a super cheap projector !) and you can add video/gifs/image layers to student art. Add multiple effects on the one project. @AppleEDU
Thanks so much for the write up and share of what I have been doing across the US in the last couple of years @smeech .Much appreciated.

Fun little ARGif project for students to make a tradition advertisement ‘come to life’ with AR. Photograph ad, lift subject, animate in Keynote. Add to ARgif as image marker and add to viewing platform. All on device, no wifi needed. Good fun. @AppleEDU
Hey secondary science teachers. Have a LiDAR iPhone? take a Gaussian scan on your next excursion/field study with your students. Airdrop the file to your students Mac or iPad with GausNote app and allow them to study, measure, explore, add elements like, audio files. @AppleEDU
Heading back to Brisbane. Couldn’t help myself. When you combine Disaback app with ARgif app you get more than just images in AR! When I use to run sessions on Reality Composer that was the number one ask. @AppleEDU
At airport with work trip to Sydney and thought I would share an idea around my app Disaback. Get students to act out a scene. Record each other. Remove background and export as gif. Students add to their next story in Keynote. Fun. Put themselves in the narrative. @AppleEDU
For those teachers who haven’t seen ARgif: it converts your images and gifs to AR enabled usdz files. So students can connect their digital creations with the real world. And those Keynote gifs don’t need to be perfect. Like sketchy here 👇 @AppleEDU
TransforMAP: weekend coding app. Takes student created street maps local area or fictional) & converts them to fantasy ‘lord of the rings’ style maps! Great for storytelling, mapping, locations. All complete with built in library of creatures, mountains, lakes, castles @AppleEDU
If you have an iPhone or iPad give Explorer Glide a go. Now available for iOS.
Simply fly and control the bird with your head tilt. Great fun and a new way to explore your favourite places. Let me know what you think.
