‼️ BREAKING: eMudhra, the Indian certificate authority whose private key was the number 4, is quitting the TLS business. It blames social media for scrutiny "out of proportion" to a unit worth ~1% of revenue. 8 of its CA keys were numbers below 256, cracked in milliseconds.

On a lighter note, the industry response to #php2shell has been remarkable. A hill I'll happily die on, @cloudflare has transformed the web perhaps more than any other. Their entirely free (but partial) mitigation gave many firms the breathing room they desperately needed. Hat tip.

The real question is why there's such disparity between their online efforts to "protect children" and how they handle real-world instances of harm.
