Walter Isaacson asks Peter Thiel what humans can uniquely do in the AI era.
Thiel: "We're very relational… these relational dimensions will become more important."
When knowledge is worth $0, the only career skills that matter:
- networking / social calibration
- persuasion (sales)
- curiosity (harnessing AI)
- taste (curation)
- storytelling
- grit
- golfing with clients (or equivalent)

"India is also seen as the biggest global loser from artificial intelligence (AI), as our key advantages of demographics and a skilled white-collar workforce lose relevance in an AI-first world. Innovation and research & development, which are driving value creation globally, are seen as areas of weakness in India. One can refute this argument, but many allocators believe it."

When he explains why FIIs have lost interest in India, it is worth listening.
FIIs are now much less convinced about India’s growth story.
Unless the Finance Ministry makes substantial structural changes in capital markets, including taxation, there is no clear trigger right now to attract foreign capital.

This is an auditory illusion, or a false perception of a real sound.

Salman Rushdie is a lucky man. Hindus have not threatened to behead him, even when he has insulted them or their religion.
About 37 years ago he wrote a book that enraged followers of another faith. Most of us from that generation know what happened after that. However, for the benefit of Gen Z, who may not, after it was published, a fatwa was issued and a price put on his head. He went into hiding. Decades later, he came out, thinking the danger had passed. It had not. At a public event he was attacked, lost an eye, and nearly lost an arm.
Now he has compared the RSS to the violent, insurrectionist Irish Republican Army. He can say that because he knows criticism of Hindus is safe for him. There will be outrage, and then it will pass.
Why doesn’t he write another book about the religion that cost him an eye and nearly an arm, and see what happens?

Hardly a bhakt, but the spectacle of Salman Rushdie being highly concerned about Hindu nationalism in India being a threat when his eye was gouged out in upstate New York by a California born Muslim 33 years after the Iranian ayatollah declared a fatwah on him for writing a book… is quite something.

The co in the past has spoken about the transition from a pure play ER&D co to a lifecycle engineering services model. This means they want to stay with the customer across the entire life of the product or asset — from design and manufacturing all the way through aftermarket, maintenance, upgrades
This expands the TAM
Traditional ER&D market ~$80–100 billion.
Full engineering lifecycle opportunity estimated at $2.4–3.2 trillion.
