Parking on pavements is a selfish act, which obstructs pedestrians, families with pushchairs & vulnerable people, especially older or disabled people with visual or mobility issues.
Please be considerate and park in appropriate places.
#Alton, #Hampshire
When tradesmen block pavements, instead of safe, convenient off-road alternatives, you know they don't think about anybody other than themselves.
Pavement Parking enforcement is needed town-wide in places like #Alton.
@hantsconnect
We hope that @hantsconnect will use the new legislation to impose blanket bans town-wide, to include residential streets.

We need 'Operation Park Safe' in every part of England, not just London, B'ham and Cheshire.
In Hampshire, in towns and villages not designed with the car mind, the 'infernal combustion engine' has invaded every nook and cranny. Action needed.

How many infringements of the Highway Code can you spot?
Lorry dangerously parked on Normandy Street, @Alton today.
Reported to Police Officer in passing vehicle, who said "he'd have a word".
Many thanks.

Parking on a #pavement and on double yellow lines on a Sunday, is still a danger to other road users and pedestrians.
Pavement parking legislation needed now.

While perhaps not parked on double yellow lines, it is a flagrant demonstration of disregard for the safety of pedestrians, parents with pushchairs, or those reliant on mobility scooters.
We need pavement parking legislation now!

When you fail to comply with the requirements to keep your car on the road legally, don't be surprised if the D.V.L.A. turn up.

Abandoned cars are a blight on neighbourhoods, and deny legitimate parking spaces for others.
Well done @EastHantsDC for serving this notice, for this vehicle parked on Queens Road, #Alton.

Glasgow is set to ban pavement parking.
This new rule will protect pedestrians, especially people in wheelchairs and those pushing buggies, who could be forced onto the road by inappropriate parking.
Time we had this law in England.

Parking with 2 wheels on the kerb, is still #PavementParking
Not to mention contravening Highway Code - parking within 10 metres of a junction, & parking on yellow lines.

No excuse for parking on a pavement. Just bone idle and inconsiderate beyond belief!

DPD delivery drivers do not have special dispensation to park where they like. They should comply with the Highway Code like everyone else.

Many of you following @BlatantWatch and others who are concerned with inconsiderate drivers, know that whether drivers park on double yellow lines, zig-zag markings or #pavements, it's just as bad to park right next to a road junction.

What exactly is a #MobilityAid?
And why do definitions matter?
We're campaigning for changes to legislation to enable all #Disabled people to choose and use the mobility aids that suit us best.
