After adjusting for patient characteristics, patients managed non-operatively for appendicitis were approximately twice as likely to re-present to the ED, be hospitalized, or undergo a CT scan within one-year compared to operatively managed patients.

Shortly after 8 am, @ynhhealth received its first 1,950 doses of the @pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, and will begin vaccinating employees this afternoon. More doses are expected over the coming weeks.

1. Know their name and acknowledge their existence
2. Introduce them to everyone you talk to - attendings, co-residents, patients, etc.
3. Teach them while you do your job - talk out loud about what you’re doing and why you’re doing it (1/?)
