What a busy weekend! On Saturday, I got to tour the historic Mead’s Tavern, Bedford Alum Springs Hotel, and the New London African American Methodist Episcopal Church with Friends of New London. On Sunday, Lila and I visited Thomas Terrace Baptist Church for an evening of fellowship and treats for the annual Trunk ‘n Treat night.

Even on the weekends, there is plenty of work to do in Senate District 8! Thank you to Project Freedom and @TFFVA for organizing a great group of students and community members to knock doors in the Lynchburg area in opposition to the upcoming constitutional amendments. I would also like to thank @GlennYoungkin for visiting us in Campbell county as we support Congressman @JohnMcGuire4VA for the 5th Congressional district. If you have not done so already, make sure to go vote on November 3rd!

Another great evening at @LibertyU the Freedom Uncensored Gala joined by @Griffin4VA and @EricRZehr to hear from the great Dr. Ben Carson on the importance of fighting for freedom in our communities and our country.

Wrapped up our final Constitutional Amendment Town Hall in Senate District 8 tonight in Bedford! The message is simple: VOTE NO, NO, NO on all 3 amendments! We must protect families, put victims before criminals, and defend the conservative principles that make our Commonwealth strong.

Lila and I enjoyed attending the Blue Ridge Pregnancy Center Annual Banquet last night! Protecting the sanctity of life is one of our most important responsibilities. Thank you to the dedicated staff, volunteers, and supporters for the incredible work you do to support mothers, children, and families throughout Central Virginia.

Today at Owen’s Market in Bedford, members of the General Assembly and Congressman John McGuire called on the Governor to convene a special session and provide Virginians with 90 days of gas and diesel tax relief. Working families need relief now. Governor Spanberger, call us back to Richmond and let’s get it done.
