This week the Historic Hotels of America announced its list of top 25 hotels for the Great American Road Trip including the Penn Wells Hotel, a fixture along US Route 6 for more than 100 years. The Penn Wells continues to be popular road trip destination.
The Penn Wells Lodge added 32 two room suites in 2012, featuring rooms with a king bed or two queens, as well as ADA accessible rooms and 4 fireplace suites. This addition to the lodge also included 8 standard two queen rooms. This Lodge section is referred to as the tower.
The Penn Wells Hotel offers outdoor Courtyard dining weather permitting during the summer and fall seasons. The Courtyard opens at 4 pm daily.
The Mary Wells Dining Room and Penn Wells Lounge is a popular spot to celebrate moms on Mother's Day. The traditional brunch is served from 10 am to 4 pm and features carved roast beef and ham, all day breakfast, bountiful sides, a kids table and desserts.
The Penn Wells Lounge serves as Wellsboro’s premier spot for craft cocktails, local drafts, and a casual dinner menu. Features a grand wood-burning fireplace.
Dining at the Penn Wells: The Mary Wells Dining Room offers a traditional Friday night fish fry that features broiled or fried haddock with tartar sauce, homemade mac and cheese, and a cup of New England Clam Chowder or a side salad.
The Penn Wells Lodge offers modern lodging accommodations, with an indoor pool, fitness center, and jacuzzi for guests. It is located at 4 Main St, Wellsboro, PA 16901.
The Mary Wells Dining Room and Penn Wells Lounge traditionally serves a popular buffet on Easter Sunday from 11 am to 4 pm featuring carved ham and lamb. Visiting with the Easter Bunny at the Penn Wells is always fun for children. Hot entrees, salads and sides, desserts, and more
