It's important that we use this data to observe & address unwarranted variation. Through this we will improve patient experience, reduce waste and harm, target our resources appropriately & ensure that the right care is delivered as consistently and fairly as possible.

Equity & accessibility of health & care is a priority. There will be variation & we can evidence some of this. Without evidence there is unwarranted variation, meaning people could be subject to more tests or waiting longer to get the care they need.
