I see Divock Origi has made the bench recently. Remember Dortmund away? Remember the derby goal? The hat trick at Southampton? He’s not everyone’s cup of tea but we could do far worse for a back up striker.
Only seen the first half but there was plenty of effort & determination again from the Reds but you can’t give good teams gifts like today
Early days in the season. We’re not world beaters by any stretch
But I’ve seen LFC teams nowhere near world beaters win big trophies. 🏆
Talking with a couple of Barca fans last night about Araujo. They can’t believe how well he’s doing for us
They spoke about his problems last year & one said “If you give us €50M, we’ll snap your hand off!”
Mad how a change in scenery & a bit of support can help a player.
Birthday surprise for Adam tonight.
@FCBarcelona versus our old rivals @Alaves
It’s no Anfield but it’s a decent stadium like! 😉
The booing of Hendo is pantomime stuff isn’t it?
He took it in his stride though.
Excellent servant and captain for the Reds but Jurgen Klopp could come back with a new team and I’d still want him and them annihilated and the sentiment can get to f*ck for 90 minutes at least.
Whisper it quietly but big Giorgi was decent tonight.
There’s nothing wrong with his shot stopping. Had his moment in the shootout too.
Get his kicking right and there might be a keeper in there.

If you're at the game tonight and have never read RAOTL why not take the risk and buy one, only two quid. Martin will be at F/Pole Corner & I will be outside the Main Stand near the Faith Room. You can also subscribe & get a copy posted out. Visit redallovertheland.com
It gets played down but LFC were superb in 2024/25
26 games unbeaten from Forest onwards that won us the league
Scored in every away game first time in our history
Top of the CL league phase
Also made a cup final that season

From goal creator to last-ditch hero, Ronald Araujo is named the Premier League’s ‘Player of the Matchweek’ following Liverpool's victory over Brighton.

Liverpool’s clash with Chelsea could provide the perfect stage for Federico Chiesa to finally seize his moment at Anfield.

Honestly think it’s fascinating how big the Ballon D’or has become over the years
When I was a kid in the 80’s, the biggest award over here was the PFA awards
Pretty sure when Owen won the award in 2001, it was just a round of applause on the pitch at Anfield.

Wirtz played well yesterday until the injury.
He linked well with Isak and Barcola and although he’s rarely going to win 50/50 tackles, he did nick possession a few times and didn’t allow Brighton time on the ball.
The lad needs a big goal. Hope he’s fit for Arsenal.
