There is a lot of media speculation that the Parramatta Eels may be willing to take Blaize Talagi a year early despite him recovering from a serious Achilles injury which will keep him out at least half of the 2027 season.
I honestly can’t see it happening…Penrith rarely release players early but Blaize leaving to play elsewhere in 2028 is definitely a possibility.
Panthers fans would you re-sign Talagi for 2028 and beyond?

It would take a modern day miracle for Matt Burton to return to Penrith.
Put quite simply the Panthers don’t have anywhere near the cap space to sign a player like Burton who would easily command $800,000 plus to sign up.
As it is Penrith are going to struggle to re-sign both Moses Leota and Liam Martin.
Sure if they cleared cap space by off-loading a player like Izack TAGO, it may open up a bit of space but not enough to sign Burton on top of Leota and Martin.
Get ready folks the silly-season is about to begin!

Expect the two Billy’s - Scott and Phillips to play an even bigger role in the Panthers 2027 Premiership campaign.
With Freddy Lusick’s departure and a projected late start to the season by co-captain Isaah Yeo both Scott and Phillips will be called upon to play more minutes than ever before.

One of the Panthers rising stars Tua Patea has re-signed with the club until the end of 2029 according to ESPN Aus / NZ
Tua, younger brother of Luron, is a centre who has impressed the coaching staff with his size, power and skill.
It wouldn’t surprise to see him get a run in the top grade in 2027.

The new Penrith Stadium is coming along nicely and really starting to look the goods. Sometimes I think I’m the only one who loves the design and feel of the new stadium. Can’t wait until it’s fully complete and ready to host the first Panthers home game in 2027.

Well done to all the Penrith boys who gave it their all for their respective nations in tonight’s opening Rugby League World Cup clash between Australia and New Zealand.

Panthers supporters don’t lose any sleep over stories about Isaah Yeo and Nathan Cleary not re-signing with Penrith. Negotiations with marquee players such as these two can take months to complete. There are a lot of ‘scary’ stories going around. Don’t let any of them…including the PNG Chiefs or whatever they’re going to be called, putting forward a ‘big offer’ to Nathan rattle you. The club has got it all under control.

I can’t believe all the negative press out there for Mary Fowler because she decided to pay her partner a quick visit after the injuries he sustained.
Her actions should be admired not admonished.
Of course everyone is entitled to their opinion and that’s mine.
