SPC has upgraded to a Day 2 Enhanced Risk (level 3/5) across parts of central/northern Arizona for tomorrow (Wed, Oct 21). Confidence is increasing for supercells capable of producing all severe hazards, including tornadoes, damaging winds, and large to very large hail tomorrow afternoon. The parameter space is certainly upper echelon for the region, and this is the first time ever that the SPC has issued a Day 2 Enhanced Risk in this area.

The NHC has graded Polo to an 180 mph storm with an pressure of 892 mbars. This is now officially the 2nd strongest East Pacific Hurricane on record pressure wise right behind Hurricane Patricia's (872 MB) and has passed Hurricane Linda (1997 902 mb) and Rick (2009 906 mb).
This is also the 4th strongest hurricane ever recorded wind wise across the whole Pacific and top 5 strongest in the Western Hemisphere with pressure.
