Last week, my 7th grade science classes designed their own labs using the scientific method. Shockingly, all the classes decided to see which pop reacted most with mentos. The kids had a great time setting them up, and letting them react. The big winner: Root Beer!

Not nearly as fun doing labs by myself without the kids here, but I was still able to show them the difference between an earthquake’s P wave and S Wave. #longdistancelabs #ThePCAWay @PPSnews

What an amazing day for gardening! The @growpittsburgh crew came out and helped us harvest chives, pea chutes, collards and mint. Then we planted our summer crops and even built a fence to stop the deer from eating them. Students had a blast! #PCAAllDay @PPSnews @PghSuptHamlet
