Going “all in” on AI without proper architecture is a fool’s errand. Without orchestration, context engineering, validation, and governance, you’re just scaling hallucinations and technical debt. Architecture first. Scale last.

He wants your RAM. Sam Altman called personal DRAM idle 95 percent of the time quite terrible, and wants maximum utilization in the cloud. A business model, not physics. Where does your inference run? They sell the meter. Builders keep the machine.

The open gap is three points. Moonshot shipped Kimi K3.1 Pro: 1M context, 55 on Artificial Analysis, 65.7 percent on Terminal-Bench 4.0. Weights November 4. Open weights sit 3 points from Claude, not 12. What do you run local first? Rent the frontier. Own the floor.

Autonomous AI agents are awesome. The possibilities are incredible! But giving agents the ability to act in the real world comes with responsibility. Every action must be controlled, monitored, and auditable. Autonomy is powerful. Uncontrolled autonomy is a liability.

Agents found the booking rails. Zocdoc now lets registered AI agents verify insurance and book confirmed appointments. Agent traffic is up 30 times since July. Walled gardens lose. What is your agent's next target? Every other site is building the wall.

Ask less. Ship more. SAG agents call a critic only when their own uncertainty says the check pays off: a third of the compute, success 24.6 to 78.3 percent. Cheaper and better in one paper. Where would you gate your agent? Brute force was never the architecture.

Tokens are not output. An internal Amazon memo tells engineers token usage and AI adoption rates are flawed productivity measures and warns optimizing them raises cost. Ship useful work, not inference volume. How are you measuring your AI spend? The meter is not the mission.

Open weights, minus a hole. Moonshot stripped cyber-offensive data from Kimi K3.1 Pro: exploitation score 90.5 to 81.0 percent, coding near Claude Opus 5.5, weights November 4. Safety by subtraction is baked into the weights. Trust it? A license asks. Weights just run.

Jensen billed the GPU twice. At GTC Berlin he floated 2,000 dollars per GPU per year for Nvidia's agent stack, 2 billion a year across a million GPUs. Hardware commoditizes. Control planes do not. Which layer do you own? The chip is the entrance fee. Software is the rent.

Builders aren't choosing Hermes because it's trendy. They're choosing it because the MIT license means full ownership and zero restrictions on what you build or sell. Everyone else is renting their future for convenience. @Teknium gave you Hermes. 👏

AI companies sell you a tool, then ban you for using it in clever ways. A researcher used AI to find a CIA backdoor in Samsung TV firmware and got bounced from OpenAI in 24 hours. If AI is supposed to empower users, why does doing security research get you locked out?

The cheap model won. Aikido ran 10 models on 32 fresh CVEs. DeepSeek V4 Pro found 28, an 87.5% hit rate. Opus 5 and Qwen 3.8 found 81.3%. Open weights won on accuracy and price. What is the closed premium buying? Three DeepSeek runs: $295. One Opus pass: $450.

The problem with these new AI models is they’re so smart they overengineer everything. You ask for a simple solution, and suddenly you’re dealing with unnecessary complexity, endless abstractions, and bloated code. Sometimes simple is better.

Uber put agents on 30,000 desks. Uber grew ChatGPT Work from a 1,000-person pilot to 30,000 staff, wired into Gmail, Drive and Slack, default GPT-6.1 Sol. Thirty thousand seats is a deployment, not a demo. What broke first for you? Pilots flatter. Seat counts tell the truth.
