Don’t become so devoted to rebuilding what you lost that you forget to enjoy what remains. You can be unfinished, uncertain, and still worthy of extraordinary experiences. Life doesn’t require you to have everything together before you participate.
There’s a difference between acknowledging what happened to you and continuing to live as though it’s still happening. At some point, the greatest evidence of healing is allowing the present to become more important than the past.
Recovery isn’t always a dramatic transformation. Sometimes it’s getting dressed, walking into a room, laughing until your face hurts, and realizing you went an entire evening without carrying yesterday into tomorrow.
Never give someone so much influence over your life that their absence becomes the reason you stop living it. People can change your circumstances, but they should never have lifelong authority over your happiness.
One day, you have to stop making a permanent home out of a temporary season. Life didn’t end when things fell apart. There’s still laughter you haven’t experienced, people you haven’t met, and memories waiting for you to show up.
How can someone who constantly betrays their own truth ever honor yours? When deception becomes identity and manipulation becomes instinct, a new relationship offers no redemption. Changing the audience doesn’t change the character. Unresolved patterns simply find new victims.
