On Tuesday night in NYC, Purple Daily was awarded a national Marconi for podcast of the year!
Eight years ago, @SKORNorth was an idea on a whiteboard. How could we build a series of shows for Minnesota sports fans that would be sustainable in a digital world?
Pretty cool to see how much you all, the fiercely passionate audience and fans, have supported this.
Thanks to everyone who is part of our Purple Daily and SKOR North communities. We appreciate you to no end.
Shout out to our incredible and relentless SKOR North & Hubbard team. Innovators and great humans.
To @jzulgad and @DexsTweets specifically, I love being in the trenches with you both every day on Purple Daily.
Now — or someday, before we die — it’s the Vikings’ turn… 👀

The Vikings defense is allowing 10.3 points per game over this 11-game win streak dating back to last season
10.3!
(I stripped out opposing team defensive TDs)
There are two categories of people in the JJ McCarthy discourse:
1 - The almighty ball-knowers who ALREADY drew a conclusion about JJ McCarthy’s career before his 24th birthday.
Many of these people clowned and dunked on anyone who remained curious.
2 - REASONABLE people who saw some major flashes in Minnesota and just wanted to see more games before rushing to judgment.
The amount of people -- AND MEDIA! -- who fell into Category 1 above is pretty astonishing.
This is actually exactly how McCarthy was playing over his final four games of last season.
And in the 2nd half against Chicago + Detroit last year.
The gap between how people view McCarthy -- and his actual talent level on the football field = a hilariously wide gap.
