So true!

I was a lefty until I realised that it was, contrary to the hype, deeply inhuman. One day it dawned on me the people I knew who claimed to care about everything on the planet were actually pretty much psychos.

Wow. A journalist of the experience and calibre of Andrew Neil is now saying this about the BBC. The corporation’s credibility has completely gone. What a desperately sad state of affairs.
It’s wrong on all counts. I would no more depend on the BBC’s coverage of France than I would Putin on Russia.

And people in Europe still wonder why the Americans like to own guns.
A French video game and cartoon store owner has his store looted in Nice. He gets attacked from behind and then has rocks thrown at him while young rioters laugh

I absolutely agree. Politicians on social media = absolute cringe. They need to stop it.
Our politicians are increasingly little more than a bunch of pontificating pixies. They should be running the country without fuss or show instead of wasting time with this performative nonsense.

Some things never change. Honestly, I have not watched @bbcquestiontime in 10 years. Just turned on: it is STILL a bunch of Remainers whining. 😭 @SKinnock & @GeorgeMonbiot - what a pair of twits. In other news, U2 are still making some good songs youtu.be/TUuVOW7XogA?is=JBTM…

I wondered why he was so keen to go into bat for them in that interview. Now we know why.
Breaking news that Andy Burnham oversaw a £55m taxpayer loan linked to Man City’s owners. He’s clearly compromised and must come clean on all his financial links to the club’s owners. English football fans deserve so much better than this sorry mess. telegraph.co.uk/news/2026/10…

@NUFCCrues @delirious7575 @MugginsMcS @HalpennyPh1500 Hi Groovers, Would it be fair to say this is their album that is talked about least? For some reason, I am obsessed with listening to it on headphones in the dark. youtube.com/playlist?list=OL…

Okay, the last one, On Every Street, is probably talked about least. Although to me that feels half way to being a Knopfler solo album.

Communique was produced by Jerry Wexler and coincidentally I have also been listening to my Aretha Franklin box set. If you’ve never heard the full length of Chain Of Fools, check it out: youtu.be/MUoGMUjLae0?is=7n9p…

There’s literally no way that these two horrible, condescending little girls would be able to apprehend real criminals.
Why don’t they investigate real crimes for gods sake, there just a proper embarrassment 🤡

The lefties currently trying to destroy Ed Sheeran with a relentless campaign of hate, shame, and guilt are the same troglodytes who, two weeks ago, were telling you that the media was responsible for murdering Jason Arday and that everyone should just be a bit nicer.

@NUFCCrues @delirious7575 @MugginsMcS @HalpennyPh1500 Hi Groovers, we need a Macca entry. He has a few that qualify but let’s look at my favourite underrated Wings album. youtube.com/playlist?list=PL…

Famously recorded on a yacht. These sessions also produced the non-album rocker “Girls School” (UK double A-side with “Mull Of Kintyre”) which I’ve always loved.

These people are absolute weapons grade morons. The worst aspect is how insulting it is to the memories of the victims.
My theory on it all… There were no planes crashing into WTC buildings that day at all. The planes they said crashed actually existed but were landed elsewhere, recordings of phone calls to loved ones were made, then the crew and passengers were killed. I’ve never met anyone personally who was involved in any of it and haven’t heard anyone in initial audio and video recordings or in radio and TV interviews that they actually saw the planes. Those initial recordings on the actual day are the most telling.

@NUFCCrues @delirious7575 @MugginsMcS @HalpennyPh1500 Hi Groovers, this was not an Elton John period for music snobs: it was seen as being a bit “adult contemporary”. I’m not crazy about the production on this one, but I do like the songs. youtube.com/playlist?list=PL…

They are not on the album, but this was the period when Elton collaborated with Guns N’ Roses doing November Rain live at an awards ceremony. Which leads me to ask the question….

@NUFCCrues @delirious7575 @MugginsMcS @HalpennyPh1500 Is Elton John the most prolific and widest collaborator in music history? He has worked with so many different artists — both older than him and much younger — and across virtually every major genre.

Here's 3 mins of clips from past protests when counter protesters have kicked off. Police have been attacked, most of the protesters were wearing masks and not once did any MP or our msm comment about it 👇

@NUFCCrues @delirious7575 @MugginsMcS @HalpennyPh1500 Groovers, i’m watching my Blu-ray of Led Zeppelin - Celebration Day. I bought it years ago and never got around to watching it properly until now. I was expecting to like it, but good grief. I’m blown away!

This of course is the recording of the show that took place at the O2 in 2007 with Jason Bonham on drums. What a shame Plant decided he would not do a tour — but maybe it was better as a one-off. I’m struggling to think if I’ve ever seen a better rock concert on video.

@NUFCCrues @delirious7575 @MugginsMcS @HalpennyPh1500 Hi Groovers, I do quite like this relaxed soulful Neil Young album with Booker T and the MGs. The 9/11 themed “Let’s Roll” is well intentioned but perhaps out of place. 🧵 youtube.com/playlist?list=OL…

NY chose to release this album after finishing and the cancelling the darker, more brooding Toast (with Crazy Horse). Many songs from that album were re-recorded with Booker T. Crazy Horse are on one song, the epic Goin’ Home. (Toast has since been released from the archives)

A number of factors feed into this album being dissed: —There’s no E Street Band — The production is a bit “adult contemporary” — Bruce is largely happy and content on it

On the plus side: — the title track is a classic — the other songs are actually good as well — Soul legend Sam Moore is a guest vocalist — Tbe drummer is one of the greatest session players of all time: Jeff Porcaro.
