True "legend"!!! Coach Cremens had the freshman of the year in that conference . . . Was it 4 years in a row?
Always great to get back down to the Flats! Great to spend time with @CoachScottCross , his staff, and the team! #GoJackets #PointGuardU

Dan Issel is the #172 all time scorer in NBA history, 7 points behind Richie Guerin! Wait, what?! His ABA points aren’t included in the NBA stats?? When they are, the Horse vaults to #14 all time, where his 27.5k points are just behind Shaq and Melo! Right the wrong, NBA!

Honoring the remarkable legacy of 𝐂𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐖𝐨𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐧.
John Wooden was born on this day in 1910. We're remembering the late @BoilerBall and @UCLAMBB icon by looking back at how his speed helped revolutionize the game.

Happy 116th Birthday to John Wooden. Wooden played at Purdue, where he won a national championship in 1932 and earned three consecutive All-American selections before beginning his legendary coaching career. He took over UCLA in 1948 and transformed the program into the greatest dynasty in college basketball history. Between 1964 and 1975, Wooden led UCLA to 10 NCAA championships in 12 seasons, including seven straight from 1967 to 1973. His teams also won 88 consecutive games and completed four undefeated seasons. Along the way, he coached future NBA legends Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Bill Walton, Gail Goodrich and Jamaal Wilkes, helping develop players who would go on to win multiple NBA championships and earn Hall of Fame honors. Wooden retired in 1975 with a 664–162 record at UCLA and became the first person inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame as both a player and a coach. The greatest college basketball coach ever. The architect of UCLA's dynasty, Wooden didn't just build champions. He helped shape generations of basketball greatness.

#44 "the logo" was an all-time great!!!! #23, in my opinion, was the definition of clutch!!!!
I have Jerry West ahead of Michael Jordan on my clutch list, and I'd make that call again. He stole Sam Jones' inbound pass and scored at the buzzer to win Game 3 of the 1962 Finals against Boston. He was 23.

Bruce Hornsby is 1 of my all-time favorites! So talented!! But, he is DETERMINED to not play the hits . . . when he does they are unrecognizable! I still go see him & always leave confused that a great guy won't consider his fans!!!
Bruce Hornsby & The Noisemakers head into the final week of the Indigo Park Tour — and their last performances of 2026 — with stops in Munhall, Charlottesville, and Newport News this week. Find tickets at BruceHornsby.com/tour.

NFL: Revisiting the 1961 Draft: All four players, Mike Ditka, Bob Lilly, Norm Snead, and Billy Kilmer were top 1st Round Draft choices. If they were available to you again, who would you choose?
