@FishOfPrey could you or @burki_db shine a light on whether the Version class works with net new 2GP managed packages, or only 1GPs and 1GP->2GP migrations? The documentation suggests that net new 2GPs may not be supported. developer.salesforce.com/doc…

Another milestone achieved on Salesforce StackExchange. You really can see the change in usage of the site with many people (including me) simply using LLMs to answer their technical Qs. I expect we will fall off a cliff without new answers to novel questions though...

Hi @VivekMChawla could you take a look at our support case 472405356 relating to CLI performance around the project deploy start command? Old versions of the CLI were much faster and the performance with the newer/newest versions is significantly worse. Like an extra 20 minutes.

@FishOfPrey if I have a unit test that enqueues a Queueable that implements a Finalizer that performs self-chaining, would I expect the Finalizer to be executed as part of the unit test? I am seeing that it is, and that the self-chaining (re-enqueue) of the Queuable is too...?!

@FishOfPrey, James Simone said this is intended behaviour and recommended I ask you to get this into the official documentation. Could you please do so? I'd be happy to raise this elsewhere if required, just let me know.

Just in case you missed this breaking change for Connected Apps: help.salesforce.com/s/articl… Pain when the org has not yet got OAuth Usage against the Connected App. Also note, Sandboxes from before 8th Sept need "Match Production Licenses" run (on Company Information in Setup).

If you are an ISV or other Salesforce partner, be aware that may forms of email can no longer be sent from scratch orgs (breaks digital experience development for us). Find out more, including how to complain, by reading this partner post and its comments: partners.salesforce.com/0D54…

@asksalesforce I'm seeing something like this again on Winter '26 scratch orgs. I do not receive Digital Experience "Welcome" emails from my scratch orgs. Has anyone else found this?

Anyone working for an ISV who wants to be able to package LWCs that dynamically instantiate others should consider upvoting this idea. ideas.salesforce.com/s/idea/…

@TwitterSupport There's a problem with verification codes. It's great to have verification when logging in on a device, but not so much when it takes over an hour for that verification code to arrive at which point the login session has expired. Please fix.

@Support I think I got the wrong contact for you. Please see previous post in this thread.

@gregwhitworth another one; the Salesforce UI supports display density, and this is automatically applied for SLDS. But we really need to know the setting to adjust component UI flow. Can you point a PM at ideas.salesforce.com/s/idea/… please?

@VivekMChawla is there a reason there's no documentation (or at least a published schema for) the "sf data export tree" plan file? Also, it would be great if the docs provided an example of how to generate a plan containing multiple objects where records have relationships.

Note that I worked out I could include multiple queries on the export command to generate a multi-object plan with appropriate referenceId dependencies.

Another milestone reached on SFSE. Wow! I didn't know there were that many people doing Salesforce development :D

@FishOfPrey @kranzforce could you help me understand what this Release Update (help.salesforce.com/s/articl…) is about? Can you provide an example? I'm not even sure if Apex action mean Invocable Method or something completely different.

I understand from @kranzforce that this article will get updated to actually make some sense once another issue has been ironed out, and that this is now postponed to Winter '26...

@FishOfPrey we have found that the status on the AsyncApexJob record for a Queueable is updated before the Finalizer for the Queueable executes. This makes it difficult to accurately count Queueables if the queueable tries to re-enqueue itself (in Finalizer) for retry.

(Especially complex when there's a coordinator outside the Queueable too, trying to ensure we have a certain maximum number of Queueable instances. It's the combo of this, the self-re-enqueuing and the "gap" in status handling that makes for a hard time.)

A colleague asked me if I had seen anything explaining how 2GP unpackaged metadata (developer.salesforce.com/doc…) is handled when SF are running hammer testing. I've not seen anything about how this behaves and the question made me curious. Anyone able to shed some light?

Anyone miss not being able to test CRUD/FLS permissions in formulas (especially for flow, dynamic forms etc.)? Please consider an upvote on: ideas.salesforce.com/s/idea/…

Mind blow! Trying to get a mobile app through Google review. **They** failed to follow instructions for how to login to the app several times, rejecting the submission each time. We hit the limit of 5 rejects so the app is now frozen, and they won't accept an appeal. #GooglePlay

I love flows. Except: * Get Records can't do distance-based queries. * No Transform from collection of records into a collection of just one field's data (e.g. IDs). * Docs are vague around handling of collections, especially in "set based" assignments. * ... lots more... 1/2

Our AppExchange managed packages are getting crammed full of Invocable Methods to allow these gaps to be plugged, and being global these will be hard to remove later. (Why only one invocable method per class? And why can't a method be invocable and aura enabled?) 2/2
