School car pick-up lines are a national embarrassment.
What people think wealth looks like: driving a Lamborghini What real wealth looks like: walking your kids home from school every day

So it would be a performative act of redundancy to propose a constitutional amendment to say the very same thing, right? An unproductive waste of government resources to even propose such a thing, much less put it on the ballot, right??
DID YOU KNOW? Federal Law prohibits Non-U.S. Citizens from participating in Federal Elections. Don't try - it is against the law!

This election isn't just about Trump, it's about stopping the radical rich from pushing the worst education policy money can buy in TX. Vouchers are a costly, ideological-driven scam w/ a tainted past persistently failing to improve student achievement. Use your vote against any voucher-supporting candidate. @MomsAGAbbott @TexasAFT @txstateteachers @TEPSAtalk @tasanet @txstatepta @pastors4txkids @DianeRavitch @GinaForAustin @jamestalarico @joshcowenMSU @NEA @MALDEF @AFTunion #Txlege #edpolicy

John Mulaney's musical SNL sketches have plummeted in quality to the level that I expected of the first one.

Many Vision Zero cities/states in the US now have more crash deaths than before they "committed" to VZ. VZ is a policy structure built around the idea that humans make mistakes, and they shouldn't be fatal. But in the US, it's often just a talking point. bloomberg.com/news/features/…

I legitimately did not grok to this asymmetry until listening to the Operation Mincemeat cast album.
How come Americans in Mexico are "expats," but Mexicans in the USA are unwanted immigrants?

What will you be declaring yourself when Trump declares his victory? I'm considering "Monsignor of Senegal."
We should all expect Trump to declare himself the victor as early as possible on Tuesday. It has no binding force. It means as little as if I declared myself to be an NBA All Star. He can declare anything he wants - the voters decide who wins, not the candidates.

So Charlotte Vision Zero is *getting* the message, but I'm nut sure they know how to *communicate* the message. Below: the reflective sticker sent home from my kid's school (which I imagine was programmed to go out before trick or treating)

It's pretty clear Virginia's voter purge violated National Voter Registration Act's ban on removing voters too close to election & also wrongly targeted a lot of US citizens. But SCOTUS supermajority reinstated it 6 days before election. Very troubling sign for voting rights

I am 6 out of 10 worried about the right numbers of people in the right areas turning out to vote for Harris. I am 8 out of 10 worried about shadowy quasi-legal avenues Republicans will pursue (up to the suspiciously compliant Supreme Court!) to subvert the will of voters.

I was playing a "Both Sides" drinking game to this morning's @CharlotteTalks, but now I am dead.

The only explanation is what we've all suspected for some time: NCGOP is functionally illiterate. Things they can't read range from "the room" to "the writing on the wall" and include all the half-formed legislation sent to them via 2am DMs from lobbyists drunk on free booze.
Looking at the #ncpol sample ballot this morning. Why isn’t the phrase “at least 18 years of age” in here? For that matter why isn’t citizen plural?

Charlotte could never. By the time we got to eleven we'd be naming chain steakhouses and some sandwich shop from 1945 that closed two years ago.

Everyone should read Carpe Jugulum by Terry Pratchett to see this much more deconstructed with wit and biting (ha!) social commentary.
The concept of warding off vampires with crosses is so interesting to me. I wonder if it applies to any other religion or if they're allergic to just catholicism
