My next book, "Church Matters", is coming from IVP in April of 2027.
It's my attempt to explain the practices of the church in a way that is accessible and existentially compelling to people who don't regularly attend church or perhaps did at one point and have since stopped.

The prayer of a believer must be, “O Lord, I already see that Christ is the bridegroom. That much is done. But let no one entice me away from the members of your bride. Do not be the head for me, unless I am among your members.”

Trying to join the EU is like becoming Elizabeth Taylor's seventh husband. It's an obviously doomed venture, but you can brag about it to people who haven't read a newspaper in 25 years.

We're warned about demonizing opponents, but the Bible is clear that Satan inspires and directs political powers (principalities and powers in Paul, beasts in Revelation).
And what else do you call regimes that (in various places in the world) permit the whole slaughter of the unborn, establish educational institutions that defy God, persecute Christians, approve the sexual mutilation of children, deliberately confuse male and female, bomb civilians, dismantle the family, incarcerate hundreds of thousands, subvert the familial and local networks that enable people to rise from poverty, etc?
Not every political disagreement is angels v. demons. Some are.
