RUNNING A FINTECH SYSTEM IN NIGERIA IS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT It is very difficult to run a fintech system in this country, especially when you have to rely on the mercy of third-party payment providers to process transactions from crypto to fiat. Sometimes, after we have successfully communicated a transaction to the payment processor responsible for converting crypto to fiat, a user's payout remains stuck on “PROCESSING” for hours. When you see PROCESSING, it means the transaction has already moved into the processing stage with the payment provider/banking system. At that point, we are also waiting for a final response from them. And when we contact the providers, sometimes we're told that the payment has already been forwarded to the bank, but the bank hasn't credited the user yet. Now we have to wait. Sometimes for up to 24 hours. After that waiting period, the transaction may eventually be completed, or it may return as FAILED, which then allows us to process the necessary refund to the user. Mehn, THIS IS FRUSTRATING! Nigeria still has a very long way to go when it comes to building reliable crypto-to-fiat payment infrastructure. I kid you not. This is one of the reasons many companies still rely heavily on P2P. Sometimes, when you're trying to build something here, you genuinely begin to wonder, “Is it an offence to be born in this country?” I'm just saying my mind. Building here can test you!

GIANT WALLET IS EXPANDING ITS BANKING PARTNERSHIPS! As the founder of Giant Wallet, one thing I have always believed is that building a financial system requires continuous improvement, adaptation, and compliance. Today, we are introducing Globus Bank as an additional banking channel for our Giant Wallet Virtual Accounts. What does this mean? Some users will now receive Globus Bank virtual accounts, while those who already have Nomba (NOMBANK) Microfinance Bank accounts can continue using them for deposits for now. However, I want everyone to pay serious attention to something. PLEASE, ALWAYS CONFIRM YOUR BANK DETAILS BEFORE MAKING ANY DEPOSIT! Do not assume that because your friend uses Nomba, your own account must also be Nomba. Your account might be Globus Bank. We have already witnessed situations where users selected the wrong bank while transferring money, even when the correct account details were displayed in their Giant Wallet. Banking policies, compliance requirements, and operational arrangements can change from time to time. These are part of the realities of building financial infrastructure. Before you send even ₦1 into your Giant Wallet, open the app, confirm your account number, confirm the bank name, and make sure everything matches! We are not just building another crypto wallet. We are building an ecosystem that connects cryptocurrency with everyday financial transactions. And we will continue improving it, one step at a time. Giant Wallet is growing, and we are just getting started! — Founder, Giant Token Ecosystem

I want every Giant Wallet user to pay serious attention to this. We have noticed that some users, when trying to deposit Naira into their Giant Wallet Virtual Accounts, mistakenly select Paga Microfinance Bank instead of NOMBANK Microfinance Bank. Please understand something: In Nigeria, two different banks can have the same account number. What differentiates them is the bank you're sending the money to. @TheGiantWallet uses NOMBANK Microfinance Bank for its virtual accounts, NOT Paga Microfinance Bank. Before making any deposit, please cross-check the bank name, account number and recipient name displayed on your Giant Wallet. If you select the wrong bank, your money may be sent to an entirely different account, and Giant Wallet may never receive that payment. We cannot credit a deposit that never reached our payment system. If you have already transferred to the wrong bank, contact your sending bank immediately and report the transaction. Please, take an extra few seconds to verify your banking details before sending money. It can save you from losing your hard-earned money. We are building Giant Wallet to make crypto transactions easier, but users must also take responsibility for verifying their payment details.

Even in the time of Jesus, the Pharisees and the Sadducees were never in agreement. In the time of Apostle Paul and the other disciples, there were also disagreements here and there. The Pharisees believed in the Law alongside their traditions, while the Sadducees differed with them on major doctrines, including the resurrection and the existence of angels and spirits - Acts 23:8 (NIV). Yet, despite their differences, they could unite in their opposition to Jesus. In the days of the apostles, some said, “I follow Paul”; another, “I follow Apollos”; another, “I follow Cephas.” - 1 Corinthians 1:12 (NIV). There will always be differences within faith-based movements, and sometimes it's because we fail to understand that some are called to plant and others to water, but it is God who gives the increase. “I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow.” — 1 Corinthians 3:6 (NIV). NOTE: THERE IS NO DENOMINATION IN HEAVEN. I'm saying this because of those who claim that Christianity is confused. Christianity isn't confused. The problem is that people sometimes want to hold onto God and hold onto their traditions at the same time. Jesus said: “For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.” - Matthew 5:20 (NIV). Maybe we really need to host a Twitter/X Space and TikTok Space for QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS. 😄 It might help bring clarity to a lot of people's confusion.

There is no one on earth who isn't going through some form of spiritual warfare. Even Satan is in constant contention with the people of God. There are always battles and contentions taking place in this realm. If you feel there is absolutely no warfare in your life, sometimes it's because you have normalized your inadequacies and accepted certain defeats as normal. A man whose sight is blurry knows there's something wrong with his vision. But he can choose to ignore it and live with it as though it's normal, whereas help is available-even if that help is simply corrective lenses. It's actually impossible to journey through this earth without warfare. You can look around you and see nothing physically happening, because what eventually manifests physically may have already had roots in the spiritual. And sometimes, when everything seems calm and quiet around you, you're still being weighed in the balance. Decisions, temptations, desires, obedience, character, these are battles too. But this is NOT for any believer to live in fear. Rather, it should drive you into deeper intimacy with God and teach you to rest in the Lord. God giving you rest doesn't mean every contention disappears. You still have lust, anger, hatred, unforgiveness, bitterness, pride and other works of the flesh to contend with. Scripture says: “For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other...” - Galatians 5:17 (NIV) Even that conflict is warfare. I had to explain this post in much more detail because of those who read to argue rather than read to understand. Don't worry, you will still see them in the comment section. 😂

Are you aware that that same place where they have gathered against you, planning evil against you, the presence of the Lord is there? His Spirit witnesses everything. Nothing is hidden from the eyes of God. Even the Psalmist said: “Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?” Psalm 139:7. However, you must learn to understand the prompting of the Spirit. You can still walk into avoidable danger even when your Father is fully aware of what lies ahead, if you continually ignore His warnings and instructions. When Herod sought to destroy Jesus, the angel of the Lord warned Joseph to take the Child and His mother and flee into Egypt - Matthew 2:13–14. Joseph obeyed immediately. God knew the danger, but Joseph still had to respond to the warning. Listen to the promptings of the Spirit. Be intentionally conscious of your inner man and sensitive to the Spirit of Truth who dwells within you. Sometimes, what you call “a feeling” might be a warning you shouldn't casually ignore. “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.” - Romans 8:14.

If the Lord must fight for you, you must learn not to stand in front of Him. When greater warriors wield their swords to defend and fight, the one being defended stays behind. If you insist on standing in front, you may end up interfering with the very battle being fought on your behalf. Stay behind Jesus and let Him fight for you. “The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.” - Exodus 14:14. And because of those who read and still lack understanding, saying “God will fight for you” doesn't mean the believer does absolutely nothing. You still pray, stand on the Word and maintain your faith. “Above all, taking the shield of faith...” - Ephesians 6:16. And yes, those who will fight are the angels of the Lord and not the Lord Himself. Scripture shows that God can execute His will through His angels, who are His servants and ministering spirits - Psalm 103:20; Hebrews 1:14. So when you engage the Scriptures in prayer, keep your faith intact. Don't run ahead of God trying to fight what you've already handed over to Him. STAY BEHIND JESUS. LET HIM LEAD THE BATTLE.

“The love of many will wax cold.” - Matthew 24:12. Pray and ask the Lord that you will not be one of them. I fear that the fear of the Lord is gradually leaving many, and I constantly pray that mine remains intact. I fear that this generation might raise another generation that has no atom of reverence for the Lord or regard for holy things. Right before our eyes, we are watching the Scriptures being fulfilled. “People will be lovers of themselves...” — 2 Timothy 3:2. A generation increasingly consumed with self, while losing reverence for God and the things that are holy. Guard your heart. Guard your love for Jesus. Guard the fear of the Lord in you. Because Scripture already warned us: “The love of many will wax cold.”

This sister came under my Facebook post and claimed that she emailed Giant Wallet Support and we didn't reply. I asked her to simply present proof of the email she sent. Several other people under the comment also asked her to show proof of her claim. Guess what? She deleted the comment. Thank God I took a screenshot, because before you know it now, the story might become that I was the one who deleted her comment. 😄 Please, sister, present proof of the email you sent to Giant Wallet Support that wasn't replied to. That's all we're asking for. You gain absolutely nothing by speaking badly about someone's brand without evidence to support what you're saying. This is exactly how people go online and criticize individuals and brands, and when they're asked to provide evidence for their claims, there's suddenly nothing to show. If we failed you, show us where we failed you and we'll take responsibility. But please, don't make claims you cannot substantiate.

Till now, he hasn't replied with the details we requested. However, tomorrow he might go under our app review section and give Giant Wallet a bad review. This is exactly what we've been dealing with. Some weeks ago, someone was dragging Giant Wallet online, saying we were wicked and hadn't replied to his email. We asked him to show us the email he sent so we could investigate. Guess what? He later discovered that he never actually sent the email. It was still sitting in his drafts. 😄 So why drag a company publicly when you haven't even done the needful? Why so much hostility towards something being built in your own country to make things easier for you? We keep saying Africa must stop being only consumers and start becoming builders, yet when people actually start building, some of us are incredibly quick to tear them down without even establishing the facts. Correct builders when they're wrong. Hold companies accountable when they fail. But please, do your own part before publicly condemning what others are building. We can do better. 🇳🇬

Welcome to African Ecosystem. However, we will focus on the good users who encourage us though
A place where those who are supposed to encourage you are the ones tearing you down or wishing you to fail. It’s really really hard but we will succeed regardless 👍

Welcome to Nigeria, where the moment customer support becomes accessible, threats begin. This person sent an email with no details whatsoever concerning the alleged failed transaction. No transaction ID, no amount, no time, no wallet address—nothing. Yet somehow, we're supposed to track the transaction by the Spirit. And here's the interesting part: we haven't recorded any failed transaction throughout today. We simply asked him to provide the details of the transaction so the support team could investigate and see exactly what happened. Instead of sending the requested details, this is what we received: threats to bring down the business. Mehn... this is exactly the kind of behaviour that frustrates people who are genuinely trying to build products for our ecosystem. If you have a failed transaction, send the details and allow the support team to investigate it. That's why the support channel exists. Would you send an email like this to major international wallets or financial platforms and expect them to magically locate a transaction without the necessary information? But somehow, because the builders are Nigerians and accessible, familiarity quickly becomes disrespect. We need to do better. Accessibility should never be mistaken for weakness. Send your transaction details. Let the team investigate. Threats don't provide the information required to trace a transaction.
