Pi Network will pay hackathon rewards in USDT, not OUSD, despite the earlier OUSD partnership announcement. Pi works with multiple stablecoin projects and avoids volatile crypto.

Pi Supply Shrinks on Major Exchanges: Over 42 Million Pi Withdrawn by Core Team Addresses
After the sharp drop in BTC and Pi, a fresh look at exchange data reveal a massive wave of withdrawals.
A new check of exchange balances shows massive withdrawals, including more than 42 million Pi from OKX alone, with further withdrawals from Kraken, Gate, and LBank. The combined balance across these exchanges has dropped to 585,328,836 Pi. These withdrawals did not come from public accounts. They were made by exceptional addresses belonging to the Pi Network ecosystem itself, meaning the Core Team is the one pulling Pi off the exchanges and moving it to Pi Wallet.
What does it mean? It looks like a deliberate clean-up of the available supply: fewer Pi on exchanges means a tighter market, and Pi that is scarce on exchanges can carry greater value.
Real utility is the heart of the strategy. Pi is designed to be a global currency, like the euro or the dollar: something you can use to buy and sell goods and services anywhere. It starts within the Pi ecosystem, where a circular economy takes shape, and it is already reaching the real world, with companies, supermarkets, and small local shops accepting it. Coins sitting on exchanges cannot play that role. Coins in Pi Wallet can. That is a primary reason behind these withdrawals: bringing Pi home, where it can be spent, earned, and circulated as real money rather than traded as a speculative chip.
This is also what makes Pi non-conformist. While most cryptocurrencies live and die by exchange speculation, Pi's Core Team is deliberately steering its coins toward everyday use, proving that Pi is built to be different.
The potential advantages:
Scarcity. With less Pi available on exchanges, market supply becomes thinner, which can support stronger price resilience over time.
Less selling pressure. Pi leaving exchanges is Pi that is not immediately for sale, reducing the risk of sudden sell-offs.
A stronger ecosystem. Pi held in Pi Wallet can serve apps, commerce, and community activity, supporting utility over speculation.
A signal of strategy. When the Core Team itself moves the coins, it points to a planned, controlled approach rather than market chaos.
Pioneers, watch the flows. They tell a story. 馃憖

Pi Network's "Stealth Launch": Protocol V29 Arrives Without a Countdown
No schedule, no warning. Protocol V29 simply appeared on testnet. Is this a new playbook?
The Pi Network @PiCoreTeam has updated its protocol to V29, and this time there was no advance notice. Pioneers are used to a familiar routine: before each upgrade, the team would announce the date and details. For V29, nothing. The update was simply spotted on testnet, where it is currently running.
In business strategy, this approach has a name: a stealth launch, where a product or update is rolled out quietly, without a big announcement. It often goes hand in hand with a soft launch, in which changes are tested in a limited environment, here the testnet, before reaching everyone.
Why choose this path? One reading is that it may be a way of managing expectations and protecting community morale. As upgrades accumulate, some Pioneers grow weary, wondering whether the updates will ever end. Without a countdown, there is no deadline to fuel fatigue, and the progress speaks for itself.
The advantages are clear. With no announced date, there is no pressure to meet a deadline, so the technical team can focus on quality and stability. Testing on testnet allows issues to be spotted and fixed before the main network is affected. Less advance noise also means less speculation and fewer unrealistic expectations. And for the Pioneer community, it shows that work is moving forward steadily, even in silence.
For now, V29 is live only on testnet, the usual proving ground before changes reach the main network. Pioneers should keep watching for updates from the @PiCoreTeam.
The takeaway: in Pi Network, silence doesn't mean standing still. Sometimes the boldest moves are the quietest. 馃憖

Pi Network Alert: The "Dust" Scam Pioneers Need to Know About
Tiny, unexpected deposits are landing in Pi wallets. Here is why they are a trap, and how to stay safe.
Many Pioneers have recently reported receiving 0.000314 Pi in bulk transfers. It looks like a harmless gift, but it is not an official distribution. It is a scam known as an address poisoning, or "dust," attack. 馃毃
How it works. Scammers send tiny amounts so that their wallet address appears in your transaction history. They are betting that, later on, you will copy an address from that history by mistake when sending Pi, and your coins will go straight to them.
Don't panic. Receiving this dust does not mean your wallet has been compromised. Nothing has been taken from you.
How to stay protected:
鈥ever copy wallet addresses from your transaction history.
鈥on't click on suspicious links.
A few seconds of care before every transfer can save you from losing your coins.
Pioneers, share this with your community. 馃敀

From HOME to ECOSYSTEM: The Small Pi Browser Change That Signals a Big Shift
A single word has changed on the Pi Browser homepage. Look closer, and it tells a larger story. If you have opened the Pi Browser recently, you may have noticed something different. The main homepage, once labelled HOME, now reads ECOSYSTEM.
On the surface, it is a simple change in wording. In context, it is far more interesting. Pi Network is preparing for its first-ever Ecosystem Summit, scheduled for November 17 to 19, and the timing of this update suggests that the ecosystem is stepping to the center of the stage.
The logic is easy to follow. A "home" page is a starting point. An "ecosystem" page is a destination: a place built around apps, discovery, and the connections between users and the services they can actually use. The new label reflects where Pi is heading, from a network people hold to a network people use.
For Pioneers, this means more apps to explore, more ways to discover what the community is building, and more opportunities to take part.
The lesson is simple: small details often reveal the direction of a project. Stay curious, and keep an eye on the signals. 馃攳

This is a serious situation and slippery period but it will never happen to Pi network by God鈥檚 Grace
Several technical updates are making it easier for developers to build on Pi. The Enhanced Developer Portal simplifies app setup and management, while Pi BlockExplorer now tracks historical prices for tokens on the Testnet Launchpad. The new SoloHost skill lets AI assistants prepare application packages for Pi Desktop, and PiVerify has expanded its identity-verification capabilities for third-party businesses. Together, these updates help lower the barriers to building on Pi.
