Humans have the ability to learn from experience. We've had countless opportunities to learn important lessons in Pi community.
If someone still refuses to understand or chooses to ignore those lessons, maybe it's an intelligence problem.
If this is your first time, please remember one simple rule:
'NEVER enter your wallet passphrase into any unverified crypto website or other app.'
But if this isn't your first time, and you still want to connect your pi wallet to some random website because someone promises to buy 1 Pi for $314,159, then maybe you should just let them steal your Pi.
You clearly don't have what it takes to survive in this ruthless crypto market.
Scammers send tiny amounts of Pi to random wallets, along with GCV messages or suspicious links. This is not generosity. It's the beginning of a carefully planned scam designed to brainwash you, gain your trust, and eventually steal your Pi.
(This has been going on for years, as u can see my post below and there have already been numerous warnings about it. The core team has also taken action, but they haven't been able to stop it completely. At the end of the day, it's up to each of us to stay cautious and protect ourselves.)
Scammers also want to stop you from selling your Pi before they can steal it. That's why they teach people that exchanges are evil and spread the false narrative that Pi traded on exchanges is somehow different from real Pi.
And sadly, people who lack basic critical thinking skills keep falling for it.
Anyone who believes these ridiculous gcv stories becomes an easy target for future scams. In fact, these beliefs are almost a perfect filter for scammers looking for their next victims.
One of the biggest problems preventing Pi from growing in value is the community itself.
Pi has a massive community, but many members depend entirely on free mining. Even worse, they've been taught that buying Pi on exchanges or accumulating Pi through the open market is somehow wrong.
Instead, they're constantly told to hold their Pi forever.
Meanwhile, some GCV promoters use the GCV narrative to create websites, encourage people to connect their wallets, and steal Pi from innocent Pioneers.
And what happens next?
The scammers sell the stolen Pi on the market.
The worst part is that they don't even need to leave the community after pulling off a scam.
There are so many naive people in the Pi community that scammers can simply create another X account, pretend to be someone else, and start the same scam all over again.
Fake Core Team members.
Fake Stanford professors.
Fake developers.
All of these fake identities can be part of a bigger plan to gain people's trust and eventually steal their Pi.
I believe only about 1% of this community truly understands what's going on.
And ironically, people like me who keep warning others about these problems are often labeled as the ones hurting Pi's value.
We get attacked for pointing out the very problems that are destroying trust in this ecosystem.
This is also one of the reasons why Pi has weak buying pressure and strong selling pressure.
When a community teaches people not to buy on exchanges, while scammers continue stealing and selling Pi, how exactly is the price supposed to rise?
This is exactly why I've been fighting against the GCV movement on X for the past years.
I see them as a group of scammers who are not only undermining Pi's value but also damaging the reputation of the entire Pi Network.

Many #Pi wallets, such as GCIX and GBMW, have been sending small amounts of Pi to numerous wallets with scam links inserted in the MEMO field.
This spamming activity significantly increased the volume of payment transactions on the Pi on-chain data, at one point tripling the usual amount.
However, it appears that the core team has effectively blocked these spam transactions, as these wallet addresses are no longer making transfers on the blockchain.
(It is speculated that these wallets can only receive coins but are unable to send them according to the on-chain data imo.)
While there is no definite proof yet, it seems that many of the wallets responsible for the spam are no longer able to send transactions simultaneously.
Additionally, the Pi Core Team has filtered out MEMO fields containing scam links as spam.
It is unclear whether the accounts of these scam wallets have been frozen to prevent further transactions, Additionally, on-chain data shows a sudden drop in the number of payments, returning to the original transaction volume.

Why Hackers Hit Binance, Bybit & Bitget — Still Can’t Touch Coinbase: 🧵👇
959K BTC. $103.31 Billion. 14 Years. 🔒
1. No Giant Honeypot — 69.8M Separate Addresses
Most exchanges pool billions inside a few live "hot wallets" for fast withdrawals.
@coinbase doesn’t do that. Using Multi-Party Computation (MPC), a complete private key never exists on disk or in RAM—every key is born split into mathematical shards across isolated hardware chips.
Result: Its $103.31B sits across 69.8M separate addresses. When hackers breached a Binance DevOps laptop (Oct 2026), they hijacked hot-wallet signing and drained $6.36B in 20 minutes. At Coinbase, hacking an engineer’s laptop gives you zero full keys—just one useless shard.
