A 21-year-old Daytona Beach woman, Allison Jeanne Albro, was arrested after the FBI flagged an Instagram post in which she threatened to shoot President Trump at his Daytona Beach rally tonight.
Albro told Secret Service agents and detectives it was a joke.
No guns were found at her home, and she's charged with making written threats to kill.
Threatening someone's life is NEVER a joke.

My biggest concern is that if there is a clean sweep by Democrats of the House, Senate and Presidency in 2028, they will:
1. Make DC and Puerto Rico states to gain a strong majority in the Senate.
2. Open the borders and legalize everyone living in America illegally to cement a permanent majority.
3. Increase the size of the Supreme Court to gain an immediate majority.
This would result in America becoming a permanent one-party state and the end of democracy in any meaningful sense of the word.
All that is needed to ensure this doesn’t happen is 51 Republican senators in 2029. That is why you should vote for Republican senators this election. Other reasons are irrelevant compared to this one.

Freedom of speech doesn’t mean freedom from accountability for making threats against someone’s life. You don’t get to threaten the President of the United States and expect law enforcement to simply accept “I was joking” without investigating.
I don’t care whether it’s Trump, Obama, Biden, or any other president. Political disagreements never justify threats of assassination. Everyone deserves due process, but credible threats must be taken seriously.
Good work by Sheriff Chitwood and the Secret Service for treating this seriously. Political violence has absolutely no place in this country.

We are not going to tolerate threats to assassinate the president. Allison Albro, 21, Daytona Beach, is learning that the hard way. She posted this last night and got a visit from the @VolusiaSheriff Domestic Security Unit and the @SecretService. She said she was joking with this post, she doesn’t have access to a Glock or any other weapon, and she would never hurt anyone. Today she’s sitting in jail on charges of written threats to kill and unlawful use of a communications device. I would strongly advise anyone else thinking of posting a “joke” along these lines to think twice. VSO continues to work hand in hand with the Secret Service, FBI and all our law enforcement partners to ensure this presidential visit to Daytona Beach is a safe event for all who attend, and for our whole community.
