And coal. Lots of coal. So much coal that China will, again, consume this year more than every other nation combined.

Here's somebody explaining how the economy works.
Great journalist and broadcaster, by the way, Ross Ashcroft, RIP, interviewing me around 2015.

🚨How do banks create money ?
💸💰💸💰💸💰💸
🚨Prof Werner is incomparable.
In the 5000 yr history of banking no-one has ever done an imperical study of banking to show where the money comes from- until now. Step up the rock star economist Professor Richard Werner. His amazing qualifications and held positions makes the eye water. He is truly the authority on this subject. Banks are thought of as deposit taking entities who lend money - but that is just wrong. His assessment - Banks dont lend money but they misrepresent (lie) to their customers and say that they do.

The best way to think of the ASX Stockmarket is like a bike pump. Every time the ASX pulls the handle out, American big banks push it back in to pump all the air out and shift all your superannuation / SMSF money back to America to keep holding the Magnificent 7 stocks up. DYOR

I sincerely wish everyone holding $TER.AX TerraCom make a lot of money into the seasonal thermal demand peak... yet so far things aren't looking great. Not much worse than getting a theme (thermal coal) right and having little to show for it because your shitco failed to capitalize on market tailwinds.
For now(!) it appears that a rotation from $TER.AX to $TGA.L at the first sign of things going south has been the right call.
Key things to watch at $TER.AX:
1. Did they receive the first US$10M tranche on 06.10?
2. Meeting the revised 2027 guidance assumes the Blair Athol operational issues are fixed ASAP
3. Trial shipment in November. If they fail to meet the minium coal quality specification, not only are they at risk of not receiving the second US$10M tranche but may (if fail to reach an agreement) also be forced to repay US$8M of the first tranche. The language of the note talking about expected discounts suggests they do expect coal quality challenges
4. What additional funding sources are they going to secure
If the answer to any of the above is negative, see 👇

COMMODITIES
After the Brent, the GSCI index is now close to breaking its 18-year-old resistance.
This would be another major milestone for commodities, which would sign the end of the post-2008 era where commodities and EMs underperformed.
