Motivated by random coefficients models and using a large combination of methods, I have computed positive weight quadrature rules for the normal and uniform distributions in up to five dimensions with far fewer nodes than the tensor product. 1/8
* Julia rules up to 80 digits precision are at github.com/NittanyLion/Quadr…
* there are also python, r, and stata versions, but they stop at Float64
* the software to find these is at github.com/Nit.../PositiveWe… (bring a big computer) 7/8
* replication package is at github.com/Nittan.../Quadric…
* paper is at arxiv.org/abs/2609.26840

We wrote this paper for a special issue in the honor of Jonathan Eaton whose work and character has been such a great inspiration.
Also unique for a paper to be written by three of Jonathan's advisees! (and all with Indiana-related affiliations!)
Really happy to see our paper online doi.org/10.1016/j.jinteco.20…. Here is a thread about the paper. 🧵🧵🧵 @JIntlEcon @ALashkaripour @Farid__Farrokhi
