it's kind of interesting that we've almost lost the art of the Easter egg. Neither the original paintings nor this tapestry are intended as anything more than something fun you can discover
The worst muscle memory carrying over isn't even the old auto-jump honestly, it's the fact that targeting and shielding used to be different buttons
I keep trying to block with ZR and opening myself up to get hit with an item lol
By FAR my favorite addition to the remake so far. As you go deeper in the Lost Woods and closer to Sacred Forest Meadow, the initially quiet Saria's song begins to swell in volume and more instruments gradually join in on the performance
It's a wonderful treat to the ears
Also am I misremembering or wasn't this lady inside one of the buildings in the alley at night in the original?
Oh and I forgot to post this yesterday, but they got rid of the wall you had to bomb for this gold skulltula. Not a fan of this either
Drawbridge no longer raises at night, it seems like. It's more convenient but I'm not a fan of the change

Absolutely insane that the boots are now just a d-pad press while the items you actually need to use all the time share full scroll through the BOTW menu. Craziest part is they quite literally solved this 20 years go
Okay I'm a little impressed. They even retained this silly little mechanic from the original where you can jump up for a ledge but not grab it
A lot of little mechanical details return that I never would have expected this new team to notice or remember
Regarding a new mechanic I wanted to note, rolling is not a necessary component to start sprinting. They just share the same button
If you hold A before moving, he'll skip rolling straight to sprinting. Still holding A while you stop will preserve sprinting once you move again
Yeah still not a fan of the new kokiri sword look. It just feels like a bunch of extra patterns and detail space filling for the sake of it to me
